Homemade Grow Box--1st time trying indoors

Greeting Growmies, Just wanting to share my endeavor to growing inside . I’m trying to avoid the high heat and humidity down here and most of all the bud rot. The plant is Bubba Kush and it’s been flowering for a few weeks outside. It doesn’t seem to be doing much yet inside. Maybe got shocked going from 100 to 80 degrees and humidity from 80 to 50. It’s not even a week inside yet so this is new to me. It’s just a 2x2 x4 with a SF1000. I’m just planning to do 1 auto after this Kush is done.

So the box is just 2x2 frame with 5/8 cedar picket ripped in half around the top and bottom. The outside is wrapped with masonite with white on one side. No top or bottom as you can see. So will see how it works. If this doesn’t work out I’m done with all this spending. I would of saved a whole lot of money if I just bought it at the dispensary for all that I smoke nowadays. It is fun to grow though.

Grow on gromies… :sunglasses: :love_you_gesture:

Wherever there’s water Sidney will find it. :heart_eyes_cat:

This particular plant might be a bit slow because its gonna be a downgrade to the natural light.

But that is an awesome box thats gonna produce some nice plants.

Look at this guys main cabinet journal for a good reference what you can do in that space @PhotoFinisH, hope you dont mind the tag bud

For some reason I couldn’t access @PhotoFinisH. I guess because the user’s public profile is hidden. Maybe I’ll come across it somehow.
I have seen others in a small 2x2 that produce some great plants. Looking forward to it.

Have a good one. :v: :+1:

Thanks for the love, & you would have liked working with the old Mills Pride C-13 wardrobe, based on what you’ve got going on so far. These days it almost doesn’t make sense to buy or build or modify a hard-walled cab or area with all of the tent options out there, but there are pros & cons with either one.

Your welcome. I never heard of that cabinet so I did a search and wow, There’s The Mill Pride Club. I read a few posts and it’s almost like a old growers cult. People are still into it. It’s cool how we find new things constantly.

Your right, the tents make it so easy but some can get pricey. I’m just experimenting with growing indoors. If it’s better than outside I’ll go that route more than likely. For me outdoor growing is a lot easier, less time involved but I’m only growing a few plants too.

Look forward to checking out your setup. :love_you_gesture:

If you’re looking at the icmag C13 club, that is a cool thread. Looks like the last post was in '06, which was right around when the c13 was discontinued. Biggest issue with the c13 was probably headroom, followed by the need for extra bracing, & also light-proofing around the doors. Also the back panel was thin laminated cardboard. There’s also a link in there within the last couple pages to a good DIY carbon filter thread.
