Help with identifying deficiency?

I have an auto that is on week 8 since it popped and week 4 of flower. The leaves are dying, it looks good otherwise.
20/4 light schedule, ff happy frog, 3 gallon, jacks 3-2-1 and great white. Thats it. Temps 70-80 humidity 45%, 2 fans and exhaust fan. 2 150w lights in 2x4x

5 tent

Are you feeding to run off and have run off PH and PPM numbers :love_you_gesture:

I have 2 of these Orange Cream autos. The other one is starting to get yellow tips and edges. Ive been feeding with plain water the past 3 waterings

Happy Cannaversary Grow Bro… why 3 straight water feedings? Are you feeding to run off and checking the PH and PPMs? :love_you_gesture:

Have to feed her especially in flower. looks a bit nutrient burnt. She will eat those leaves if seeking p/k.

I was flushing them, thats why plain water. I originally thought nute burn. Then the leaves started dying and the second plant started with the yellowing

That’s usually done at one time, just trying to help Growmie but without run off PH and PPMs what lead you to flushing. Do you have a PH and TDS pen :love_you_gesture:

Honestly i dont have one. Ive been lucky so far i guess. Ive harvested about a dozen autos and 4 or 5 photos so far. Havent checked run off yet.

Can live without a runoff meter but I learned the hard way cant go without a ph meter with synthetics. I use living soil which self regulates ph in a wide range so never check anymore but have totally destroyed plants with bad ph before. We are very high here…8.8 or so average out of the reservoir.

Continued luck and success Growmie. The TDS pen is needed for mixing nutrients to the correct level of parts per million and would come in handy right now diagnosing your plant through the run off. When you’re using salt based fertilizer, feeding to run off is critical! This helps rinse the salts away that have accumulated in the root zone and medium. A build up of this can drive the PPMs up and the PH down preventing nutrient absorption and can resemble a deficiency or toxicity in the plant and without knowing the run off PPMs it’s a guessing game :love_you_gesture:

I’ll agree with this if it’s an organic grow but very much needed for synthetic fertilizer :love_you_gesture:

I’ll order one then. I also forgot to mention that i left out the epsom salt on these 2. I noticed salt buid up on the last run so i figured id try without epsom…if that makes any difference

just meant I have gotten by without doing the runoff before organic. Good to have but I believe ph kills faster than a nute issue. just me. Can always flush but once locked out more difficult to getem back.

I don’t think you have a lack of nutrients, I think you’re locked out. Many many reasons that could be.
Without ppm testing you will be going at it blind.

It started out as spots on the leaves. Rust colored spots. That spread.

My assumption as well :love_you_gesture:

My thinking and experience as well and typically related to excess salts tanking the PH unless you were inputting the nutrients at the wrong PH :love_you_gesture:

Epson salt is just one of the elements that could show that. I generally feed epson at 1-1.2 grams per gallon. An excellent source for magnesium and sulfur :love_you_gesture:

Both of which are hard to overdo. If you show a toxicity you did something very wrong!

I’ll have to report back after meter is delivered. Anything i can do meanwhile?
