BLUEBERRY AUTO Seeds have germinated and now kind of slumped over resting on soil and after about 12-18 hours of LED light and slight water misting On occasion (ph 6.5) they are not moving. Temperature at 78ish. Lighting 8 inches above. Bloom and Veg light I’ve kept both of them on. Shall I shut either or off ? Or leave them both on since they are AUTOS anyhow ? Regardless I’m just worried they sprouted and look slumped over. Help! It’s my first time. Thanks All. Kind of obsessive over them checking them 6-8 times a day lol. Maybe I’m just overreacting but I just want to make sure.
I can’t really see anything in those pics, but I think your light is a bit close for seedlings. 8" is good for CFLs, but not really for the LED. Move the light up to 18", that should help.
Moving them up to 18 inches now. Thanks so much !! I’ll see if it helps. Also, IMPORTANT QUESTION: Shall I leave both Veg Light on and Flower On ?? It’s Blueberry Autflower so I assumed I cannjust leave both on ?? Or shall I only leave the Veg light on ? Thx
Use both lights for the whole grow, although seedlings don’t need that much light.
I moved the LED grow lamp up to 15 inches. I read other articles where people said leave the lights really close but it does make more sense to leave them a little higher. Lastly, here are some more pics. Someone tell me what lights to have on or off for Veg and/or Bloom. Thanks.
Ok will do. Leaving both lights on and also raised it to 15 inches. Thanks man.
Yes, normally you would keep the lights very close, but that’s for CFLs, or T5, not LEDs. That’s why I said to raise the lights, so at 15" if you see any burning then raise them again to 24", especially if your using the light with both veg and flower switches on you need to be careful. Good luck.
Depending on the light 15 in. may still be too close, Temp is one thing but at that distance it is the intensity of the light that would cause burn, I erred on the side of caution and started at 30 in. and then noticed stretching, then adjust to desired height , that worked for me. Try to keep just the dirt moist not wet and the tender seedling doesn’t need water on it at all especially with lights on, Happy growing man and welcome to ILGM, the best place to learn.
I would start at 36" and move down
It’s hard to tell from the blurple pics, but the soil looks really wet.
If it is indeed drenched I’d stop watering.
Both are now sprouting what appears to be nice healthy babies. Thanks for the info ! Have the 600w LED Full light spectrum at 26 inches and they started growing right up with daily misting of 6.5 ph around the stems.
Just a side note ive been told is that seedlings like alot of humidity
Working on raising the humidity right now. Tough to do. Added in damp towels by the fan and it’s helping a bit. Thx so much for input. Love hearing it all and it’s needed trust me
They make cool-mist humidifiers , its like a baby swamp cooler. Should bring you temp down and you humidity up
What i usually do is get a two liter soda bottle cut it in half mist plant and inside of bottle qnd place right over the plant keeps the humidity around the plant nd much easier to maintain then the whole grow area
I just got to 78 degrees and 55% humidity. Hopefully even better here after a while. Looking into these ideas you’ve all given me right now. Thx. So much info out there but not a whole lot about fresh seedlings unless you dig deep.

They have given good advice
Remember there will be Little upward growth the first two weeks or so after it pops as it developing its root System
The bigger the pot is the longer it takes for them to get established but once they do they grow fast
Thanks. And yeah I’m obsessed with these plants and feedback. Very appreciative. In fact, couldn’t have done it correctly without this forum !!
