who will be the hero for this grower: I’m growing some wifi and they are clones recently transplanted into five gallon pots and they are kinda droopy I have 1000 watt grow bulb and ballast, also have a couple of led lights on them and 2 fans right now , 24-0 light I have the soil testing at 7.3 ph and I only water them twice in three days the soil is not dry or too wet! What’s WRONG HELP ME PLEASE
what is your temp? and humidity reading?
Well for soil your Ph should be 6.5-6.8 , no higher than seven, and if they are recently transplanted, recently then that stress very well could be the culprit.
Droopy plants with no other info i’d guess over feeding more info means more informed opinions
Answer these simple questions the best you can.
If you do not know, or do not use something; Just say so = NA
Strain; Type, Bag seed, or NA
Soil in pots, Hydroponic, or Coco?
System type?
PH of runoff or solution in reservoir?
What is strength of nutrient mix? EC, or TDS
Indoor or Outdoor
Light system, size?
Temps; Day, Night
Humidity; Day, Night
Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size
AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier,
Co2; Yes, No
Add anything else you feel would help us give you a most informed answer. Feel free to elaborate, but short, to the point questions and facts will help us help you
While waiting for a response, I would suggest one thing. A recent clone transplant should probably be tented under clear plastic to keep the humidity high.
Temp at 77 and humidity is around 50
Strain Type NA
PH is 7.1
1000 watt halide
Indoor
Temp and humidity pretty much stays the same
Temp 73/77 humidity 44/55
Two hurricane stand up fans
No C02 yet
I just transplanted Sunday most are doing fine but 3 look bad
I’m using black gold soil and I have only added bio root
And super thrive to the ones that look bad
I’m growing in my Garage and I have no humidifier or dehumidifier
Also thank you guys for helping me trouble shoot!
What medium are you using temps are fine humidity could come up 15-20% and depending on medium you are using ph could be a problem and still may be a slight problem if using soil
I’d put a plastic bag over them and remove it periodically.
Definitely bring the humidity up for the clones. Around 80% RH until roots are established. This will keep them from transpiring and losing moisture. Once roots are established drop the humidity down to around 60-70%. Drop again to 50-65% during veg until the end of the initial stretch in flowering. After the initial stretch, 30-50% is good, but 30-40% would be optimal.
Also, your pH is too high. If you’re using soil aim for 6.5 - 6.8; for coco or hydro 5.8; for a coco/soil mix 6.4.
I don’t recommend the 24 hour light cycle. Your plants need dark periods to rest. As @latewood would say, you can’t live and be up 24 hours a day and not sleep.
And @GrowManFitz gave great advice for you also!
Using soil for medium, my humidity is up simply by squirting water on my grow room walls, plants are looking much better, they were wilting, I simply added more water, and at the same time added PH down to my water retested the run off and PH is 6.5 on some and 7 on others but none are higher than a 7 , I’m seeing a little yellow tho in the middle of a couple leaves on one of my plants (white buffalo) any idea why that is?
Yup I changed that cycle, I’m going with 18/6 save money on PG&E as well ! Thanks Bro!
hahah good man! I love the username too!
Hey bro,
Saying; " I use soil for medium"; Does not tell us diddly.
What exactly are you using, and where did you get it? I’ll check back later, lw
My bad , you can tell I’m a Rookie! Green as grass pun intended any way I’m using black gold on most plants and on five of them I’m using recipe 420 both from hydro shop in Berkeley Ca
Thanks @ktreez420! I also caught the 24/0 light schedule and was going to recommend a 20/4 or 18/6 schedule, but forgot to mention it in my reply. I personally prefer the 18/6 schedule.
Looks like magnesium deficiency. You could use CalMag or add unsulfered blackstrap molasses to your water when you water them and do an Epsom salt foliar spray.
It’s also likely though that simply fixing the pH will resolve this as well.
