HELP! Is it too late for my plant?

Hi all,

This plant started flowering way fast. It’s between 4-5 weeks of flowering. I had her in FF Happy Frog and was doing great. I was planning on introducing FlowerTime Nutrients at the beginning of its week 5 cycle and just before all leaves started turning yellow. Looks like Nitrogen deficiency to me but I am just a beginner.

I started giving full strength flowertime Bergmans’s nutrients along with some liquid calming that contains a little Nitrogen and iron. It’s hard for me to tell if it is stabilizing.

Even if it does I am wondering if with the smaller leaves it has left whether it will be able to cross the finish line for another 5 or so week?

Any suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Is it an Auto or is it a Photoperiod plant? If it is an auto then i think that it might just be nearing it’s end of life cycle, Where it begins to feed off of itself and yellow leaves are a natural occurance.

Yes, it is an Auto. But it says it takes 8-9 weeks to flower and its only at week 5 at best. Thanks for your reply.

That timeline is very common. All i grow are Autos and it’s ok. Those numbers to flower vary quite a lot. Don’t be worried. Have you tested your run off ph? What is it?

I grow in FF Happy Frog as well. What are your PPM’s. Happy Frog needs very little nutrients. I have grown amazing bud with Happy Frog only fertilizing 2 or 3 time through the whole grow.

I think you are fine then. 6.7 is ok and 1300 ppms is good as well. Only other question i have. Could you be overwatering? Do you let your pot get lightweight before you water?

I use to let the pot weight and the soil be completely dry earlier on determine when to water and it would be about every 3rd day.

Now they seem thirstier and I am going by the top 2" of soil and looking alot more at when the leaves start to seem like they are drooping from dehydration. When they perk up after watering i assume I am doing it OK. Now watering on average every other day if they meet the above criteria.

I think that the plant is just going through it’s end of life cycle according to your practices. The lower leaves will always die off first. The leaves remaining will do the job just fine.

Thank you. I hope so. This was my fast starter I have 4 plants and they all seem to be at different phases. One still seems really early in flower, it stayed in veg for a long time and is at least 2 x the size of my early flowerers.

Nitrogen tapers off it seems first in soil and unless you supplement you will see the plant consuming lower leaves up to scavenge nitrogen for new growth. You can add some N when adding flowering supplements and would suggest you do so at a fairly low rate. Autos do not like to be over fed so managing input TDS during flower would be wise. Your 1,300 ppm is showing soil is pretty much depleted.

FYI those leaves will never recover. Always look to new growth for signs of improvement. All in all your plant looks pretty good: nice job!

Shoot for about 750 ppm and PH of 6.5.

That 750 PPM input correct? And yes I always PH my water/Nutes to 6.5.

Waht aboutt PPM RO?

Ok am i misunderstanding here? He said his ppms are 1300. Isnt 750 lower?

He’s in soil so it’s pretty much going to continue: that number is mostly depleted soil. So treat as soilless media like coco and supplement at that value to start.
