My outdoor plants have a lot of powdery mildew on it so I had to a budwashing with 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide to 5 gallons of water. But, I still saw PM while it was hanging to dry so I increased the dose to 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide and washed them again. But when I brought the buds inside to continue to hang after they hung outside for a few hours, I still saw PM
in spots.
Does it take time for the PM to go away after budwashing?
Also does seeing PM after budwashing mean that it’s still active? I’m afraid that it will spread through out my apartment.
Sometimes mold gets in the stem and travels all the way through the buds. If it is deep in the buds I would not smoke it. Most likely you have bud rot, but pics will help us help you
@Myfriendis410 is knowledgeable on this subject it’s not something I’ve ever had to deal with and my suggestion would have been to bud wash which you have done twice lol.
When I budwash I do 3 buckets 1st lemon juice baking soda and RO 2nd I use a whole quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide to 5 gallons RO 3rd is straight RO. When I dip I swish and roll the branch around inside the bucket, making sure not to touch the sides of the bucket, do this in all 3 rinses. Seems like maybe you didn’t agitate enough to remove the mildew, your rinse solution wasn’t strong enough to kill the mildew or both. Dunno if you can re-wash but you don’t wanna smoke that mildew covered weed either. I’d ask @Myfriendis410 about what to do next. Be careful, don’t wanna get sick. Either way, gonna wanna clean your drying area well, with peroxide or some other sanitizer.
After washing ur buds did u put them in front of a fan to get rid of the rest of the water off them .you may have to wash them again and after you wash them u need to rinse them off under a hose on low to wash off any pm that may be still on there and put them in front of a fan on high
