So this will be my 12th grow and my third with SEED BAGS! I take such good care of my girls I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. They have all been the same seeds, strains and breeder (strawberry cough by Beaver Seeds.) I’m praying it’s genetics and not wrong doing on my part. Everything looks great, we’re in week 5 now and I’ve noticed that once again the bottom popcorn buds are nothing but seed bags. There are no signs of bananas or stress throughout the grow.
3 gallons. Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Distilled water with FF trio once a week. Cal-mag once a week as well. No other additives. Fully ventilated, proper Ph, temp and humidity in a 4x4.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Welcome to the forum. They are female calyxes and they are perfectly normal. Desirable even. Female flowers are made of them and they are what you smoke.
Bag seeds are like a box of chocolates Grow Bro and not uncommon to find a seed or 2 occasionally. If all these plants you’re growing are seeding sounds like the parent plant was a genetic hermaphrodite. I couldn’t tell if those were seeds or swollen calyxes in the pics
Thanks brother.
The beaver name triggered a thought.
Knew I’d seen it before related to folks not getting what they paid for.
Figured I’d pass along the info.
Might save a newer grower going down that path.
@Mikey2k200 welcome aboard our lovely forum. When you open those calyxes, are there little white seeds or are they mature? Sometimes plants will try tossing a seed or two at the end of flower. If they are.mature though, maybe there was some male pollen in there. I found a few true hermaphrodite plants this last grow, most likely a blend of genetics and bad gardening practices (had not been paying close attention to some stressors). Open them things up and see what’s inside? Might just be mature calyxes but I am not able to tell from the pic. Again, welcome!
if i was in ur boat, i would get some seeds from a reliable source, and scrub down all the equipment to make sure all the pollen is scrubbed away, an try again.
