@kellydans iv just been nosey an seen a nl auto you posted in bud of the month, what did you get out of yours if you remember do you have any journals or out
I think that Northern Light was about 5 oz dried and cured. I usually average 4.5 to 5 oz on autos. It’s also about space you can take one Auto in a 3 by 3 space with nothing else and get a lot more than that. What part of the world are you located ?
Nicee yeah definitely somthing to remember for nice time about the space
nice plant nice smoke that to init
in based in the UK and the tent is outside
Welcome to our forum, er, your forum Mr. Bongtoker! Every once in awhile you will get a seed hull that’s too attached to her plant. It will usually fall off on its own. Give it a couple of weeks. If it doesn’t fall off then you will have to carefully remove it. This is a great group. No one is gonna make you feel like a dumbass. Got a question- ask. You can tag people by typing @ a m d their name. So to tag covert man you just type @Covertgrower. He is an experienced grower, and will give you good advice. Good luck with your grow!
Thank you for the welcome
great thank you I shall keep that in mind for next time, cheers I’ll need it
To me the leafs looked like they was reachinh for the light abit, so iv moved it down, I watered them 2 days ago like 500ml in each, then the next day about 250ml in each(both with nutrients) stuck moist meter in its pretty moist towards the bottom so going to let it dry right out before next water, the little one how come the first leaf things are curling down, do these eventually drop of? don’t think there actually leafs? And would you suggest putting bloom switch on the led too or too leave it on veg for now, and are the stems normally thin at this age? The dome hasn’t been of to long for them and I have put a fan on them too thanks @Oldguy @kellydans @patchman @Covertgrower @Not2SureYet
I wouldn’t water any more for a few days.
That’s a pretty good soaking for those lil ones.
The stems will thicken up as the plant grows.
Normal for this stage.
I’d leave the bloom switch off for now. Just veg for the time being.
And too. They don’t have very many roots yet.
Watch the amount of water you’re giving them.

You are fine with the veg only. I use these little guys for starting seedlingst. They do great
Great thank you I won’t do, they seem to have took it well though carnt see no issues but I’ll keep checkinh soil daily with the meter
the plan was just to give them 250ml each but I ended up not watering them all the way round so went up to 500ml but glad there okay i won’t give them as much next time but would you say 250ml is about right for next time thanks
Great thank you, do you stick with led all the way through? If so what do you use after that one? Iv got a viparspectra 450w, not sure if there any good but iv seen some good reviews with them like, see how it goes maybe swap to hps next time or a better led
That should be plenty. And water in a circle around them to promote root growth outwards.
Easy on the nutes too. They don’t need much if any at this point.
Usually when the second set is formed I’ll give mine a very light mix of 200 - 300 ppm’s.

Btw. I use hps and I can tell you for sure they get hot. If you go that route then you have to make sure you can get rid of the heat.
But they do produce some killer tight nugs. ![]()

The vipar 450 was probably my favorite light. I had 3 of them, two 300s and a 600 before I went to QBS. I got alot stronger growth in veg from my 450s. I use these little lights till I transplant. It can save a lot on your electricity bill compare to running 100w. My main issue with the vipars was needing so many to cover a big plant. Plus. Each uses 200w. My QBs average 130w per plant for a flowering plant. I have done some nice plants with my 450s. And as Oldguy just mentioned. They can get warm. Good for winter
You have to keep them a fair distance from the plants as well. I can be 8" from the top of a plant with the QBs
Cool thank you I keep that in mind I have wrote a nutrient schedule, see what you think,I have just ordered a tds meter too it should come today
yeah that’s it I take it a decent intake and outtake is needed for them to keep it cooler like? I only have a outtake atm, plan is to upgrade it all on next grow ![]()
With my vented hoods I can get to 12 in without any issues but without a hood it’s closer to 20 in for a min height.
@Bongtoker. Just for reference if height is a concern.

Ah right that’s good to hear then, what sort of distance did you have them at my stage? iv just dropped mine not sure on exact but reckon be about 28 inch as they looked like they was reaching abit to me
Cool that’s good to know how big is your tent? Think eveything is a concern in my set up
tent only 75x75x160 but going to upgrade to a 1.5m squared one as thats the biggest I could possible get in the space I have
I have never though about vegging a seedling with that much light. I would start at 30" and work your way down. The 450 lights are reflector series. And direct most of the light down as to a wide pattern. So it can be a little intense. Make sure to start at least some lst early on. It may get tight in a 1.5m tent. I did one plant in a 3x3 tent like that. The others were in a 2.1m tent and my lights were as high as I could possibly get them
Yeah I did start at 30inch well think it was about 32, and now it’s come out to me the leafs today looked like they was reaching for it so I dropped it down to the next hoop but I’ll keep an eye on them
sounds like I’m going to have fun in the tent I’m in then, so going back to training with the space I have 75 square 160high, Im going to have 4 plants as one of the seeds has just cracked, isit worth not planting it and just try to the 3 cause of the space or go for it with the 4? for the situation I’m in, what training would you say is best for me? I know what ever I’m going to do by sounds of it I’m going to struggle cause of space but what do you reckon please @Not2SureYet
And like the only space I have for next time is like a 1.5m square, maybe i could just stick one in a smaller pot so it don’t grow as big?
I’m in an 11 ft by 14 ft room.
1 x 1000 w plus 1 x 600 w with 2 xxxl 8 in vented hoods and 1 x 600 in an open reflector.
I’m also running 2 exhaust fans.
A 10 in and an 8 in hurricane fans.
