As per the advice of some experienced people on this site I decided to start a grow journal. @Nicky@TheWatchman@noctics@Myfriendis410@Covertgrower@imSICKkid@LoCoRock@Drinkslinger@AfgVet@Kan72
I hope you don’t mind the tag but you have either helped me before or I have read a lot of your stuff.
This is what I have so far. A 4x4 grow tent
1 600w vivosun led light
1 900w green go led light (I know not actual watts)
3-5 gal fabric pots and 2-7 gal
Ph meter and ppm meter
GH nutes
Ph up and down
Temp and humidity guage
6" fan
4" exhaust system with charcoal filter
I am using auto flower seeds. Og kush, jack heter, and bubblegum
I have ffof soil in 2 pots and coco loco in 2 a blend in the other. All pots have happy frog in the middle where seed went and a top dressing of it.
Dropped seeds in water the 13th
Planted in pots the 15th after cracking open
Popped out of their shells different days but the last one fell this am.
Have a couple pics but have to post later
Well, the first problem is they aren’t 4 feet tall with 3 pounds of buds. LoL just kidding. Growing has me so excited and happy. I love to grow stuff but can’t have a garden where I live. I’m not an experienced gardener whatsoever but I’m working on that.
My advice to you is to back away from that bottle of Grow. You do not need anything except water until the plants are in flower. It’s ‘cool’ to nuke the plants but frankly you are in hot soil now so hopefully those girls will do okay.
I have a few questions first is should I have the veg and bloom switches on at this point. Currently have just veg lights on. Lights are 36" above plants. Am I going to want to fim them, lst? Do I begin my nutes a week after planting seeds? And I’m sure a whole bunch more that I can’t think of at the moment!
I see people built something they put under their pots that raises them up. Should I be building one. Looks like it helps in drainage and air circulation.
I would disconnect your carbon filter for now. Hook it back up later, when your babies are bigger and develop an odor. It will extend the life of your filter.
I did have mine disconnected. Mine already have odor. It’s not super strong but we live in a super old house (built in 1900) that is split into 4 apartments. Odors tend to carry to the other units. While there is no legal issue I’m all about being courteous to our neighbors (one of the 4 tenants aren’t partakers).
