Help droopping over water under water?

Ok so I can’t fix the droop. 5 gallon pot. 1 liter of wtr per day. I was doing every other day but they were getting too dry. Just added Cal Mag today. Will lack of cal mag make it droop.

Drooping around watering time (or lights on or off) is normal.

Overwatering can also be a cause for drooping. A better way to water would be to soak the pot until you get runoff and then let the soil dry out between waterings.

Not so much around watering time. They just have not quite perked up. They don’t look as bad as some I’ve seen, the leaves just don’t firm up ya know. I am getting some run off. I was doing 3/4 liter when they were smaller… Trying to find the sweet spot. I put a finger in and it’s dry to my knuckle before I water.

That is soil and not coco, right? Coco is handled differently and should be watered every day. It looks like soil.

It’s soil correct. So maybe back to every other day? I’m going to wait I think and not water tomorrow.

It can depend on how big the pot is, what your humidity is, and so on. I grow in 10 gallon pots and water every third day. Cannabis will tolerate underwatering better than overwatering. You’ll have to experiment a bit to find that sweet spot for your environment.

These pots are supposed to help with over water but I’m gonna take your advice and wait a day. Won’t hurt them as much if they don’t drink for a day… let their feet dry out. I’ll post a pic in a couple day see how she’s looking… cause they look and smell great except for the droop.

I give my plants about 1.5 cups of water per gallon of medium. I do this every other day or so. I soak the plants every week or so…

I’m gonna consider this the “soaking” then. They are autos but still pretty young. 5 and 4 weeks. So they are off to a good start, don’t want to slow em down.

Even every other day might be too often some soil can dry out at the top couple of inches but still be to moist below that to need watering. Most go by the weight of the pot when it’s dry. If you’re using the knuckle test go to 2nd knuckle and feel for any moisture at all. Best to go by weight IMO

Judge when to water by the weight of the pot.
Let them dry completely out just once and give them a little lift just enough to feel the weight, then water them till completely moist with little run off then try and lift them to get a feel for their weight.
First thing I do every day is try to lift my pots. If I can’t very easily pick it up then it’s good for another day.
In soil I may not water but twice a week when they still about that size. If my RH is high it may be close to 4-5 days between waterings…
My bet is on slightly over watered, but they look fine. Maybe if you want to try my lifting method they may pray for you :man_shrugging:

I’m gonna do that. No water for a few days. I’ll see what the feel like wed. That should give them 3 days between watering. I’ll check the weight.mi always seems to forget that part.

I love when mine are heavy. I can shut the tent and go about my day .
Auto pots is my new thing now. Everyone that has them loves them so I got some started and only have to water for first couple weeks to establish roots then it waters them perfectly long as you fill reservoir when it’s empty…
