Im definitely struggling with watering these plants i know its over or under watering trying to determine which one. If I can master it i might have a decent grow one of these days. Im seeing the stems droop as well so everything ive read says thats under watering and if its just the leaves sagging its over? Question is the weight of the over watered leaves causing the stems to bend and droop to? Lol anyways someone with experience tell me what they see. Thanks.
Drooping is normal around watering time or lights on/off.
Are you using soil or coco?
Ocean forest soil running 18/6 lights have been on since 6 am thats 2 hours into light on cycle
Watered yesterday with no run off fear of overwatering. Going to transplant and switch to fabric pots for the first time shortly.
The quantity of water doesn’t really matter as much as how often you are doing it. Is there any difference if your head is under 1 inch of water or 10 feet of water. Nope youre still drowning. Same with your roots.
I water until they are wet…and have 15% to 25% runoff. I then do not water until the pot is light again and the surface has a “dry” look. Agree that it is how often you water…not how much you give when you do/
What he said!!!
as mentioned, the droop may be from long day or over/under water.

Simple way for you to tell if it’s over or under. Let the soil dry out for a period of time. If it’s overwatered tho could be days. If it’s under watered it’s only a few hrs. (Looking for the plants reaction)
Learn to check the moisture of the soil by hand. Truly the best way! Over and under watering can cause some serious problems down the line.
If it’s over: The leaves are pointing to the ground and the roots can breathe. Watch the plant over the next 24hrs. When the soil starts to dry out the leaves will perk back up. Slightly straighten out in a way. Just before the plant needs water (the sweet spot) the leaves will pray for the sun. They will be more pointing upward than droopy. Once the plant leaves the sweet spot the leaves will drop back down towards the soil. This is the plants way of telling you it needs water.
If it’s under watered: The leaves are pointing towards the ground and the soil is dry. If you see both of these signs you probably under watered.
Happy farming…
I set eight 1 gallon pots in a tray and bottom feed 1 inch of water per day. It takes what it wants and the water in the trays keep my humidity up. Works like a champ
