Has anyone grown dense buds?

I also think I love to do all the high stress training, a couple of my plants stretched so tall during 1st couple weeks of flower that I had to tied down the tops of the plant. Pretty awesome though within minutes they all “turn to the light”

Just to give you an idea, here’s the stumps of the plants I harvested this morning:

Both were 2 plants per pot. A pair were just tied together, the other 2 were “knotted” together…

Wow that’s interesting! Didn’t think you could do that or even think like that. I like that.

What ya mean Growmie? Temp, humidity or time?

I’ve heard cold for the temp, I’m guessing around 60 degrees, and low for the humidity, unsure about the time, possible snap of a limb? I want to be able to expel all the chlorophyll and not be super dry. I’ve heard both about flushing also as in do it and doesn’t make a difference? Always lots of info and just trying to filter through it to see the best results.

Most growers say 60°/60% is perfect but I rarely ever get those numbers together. You definitely don’t humidity to low that will cause a fast dry quicker than temp being a little bit off.
My rule of thumb is hang em in a area with good airflow but not directly on them for 7-10 days then start checking buds from different areas of the plant and I like stems to crack but not snap into. This last round drying numbers was 70° at a fluctuating humidity between 65-76 %. I quit chasing the perfect numbers last year and just started enjoying what I could do. If you grow with synthetics/salts then the flush is recommended for the health of the plant not the taste and the organic style doesn’t require it but I do stop feeding
1-2 weeks before harvest just because they’re not using it anymore.

Temperature and humidity is key to dense bud in my experience

Most definitely while in flower Growmie :facepunch:. Temperature will help bring out color if you can get it 10° colder at night than what day time temps are while both of them work to make it dense

When do you stop feeding and only water? When the tricomes turn cloudy or the leaves start to turn brown like they are being eaten up by the plant?

I do have these but can’t seem to be patient enough to wait on those amber tricomes

What size pots? Were they the same strain? I am interested in this. I often wonder about this. I’ve grown tomatoes and Basil in the same pots outdoors but do they do well indoors, 2 cannabis plants in one pot?

They are not ready yet. 90% of those white pistils will turn red\rust\brown then start looking at the trichomes for a few or more to be amber in color.

Pots: 5 gallons pots
And yes, the same strain in each separate pot. 2 Kona Red in one, and 2 Agent Orange in the other pot…

I’ve had some massively dense buds growing outdoor… lots of that wonderful California sunshine and heat!

Those look great! Nice trim too. Has anyone used a bowl trimmer? Or is it best to just stick with ole reliable hand trims?

Depends what you’re looking for in a finished trim.
A bowl trimmer will leave the buds quite a bit furrier than a hand trim done wet.
I prefer a closer trim so hand wet trim is my go to.
When it drys , any remaining leaf tufts will be so small as to not notice.
Very few crows feet. I call em paper pokers.lol.
