Do you all get dense buds from autos

Like the title suggests, do you all get dense buds with these autos? I’m growing my first one which a seedling was gifted to me, and wondering what to expect. It’s a banana kush from ilgm.

Dense buds are grown with proper nute levels, environment, and a lot of light. I’m not sure that auto vs. photo has a lot to do with it.

Gotcha, just curious. This one is under a cmh 315, and ff nutes. It’s gained a lot of ground over the last week. Temps stay between 72 and 79.

How far did you keep light away from highest canopy?

Well, if that is an AUTO you are off the a great start. She looks like she is stacking nicely. Give her time and she’ll firm up I’m sure.

I just finished my 1st auto grow. I had the same question you have. But by chop time 3 different types really stacked up and got dense! Just let them keep going and watch your trics. Chop when you get them cloudy with a little amber!

Yeah, it’s an auto for sure. Buddy bought the seeds from ILGM, started 3 and gave me one. Today is day 60. That pic is from today.

Probably have another 4-6 weeks in my experience with these autos…. The quickest to finish has been a zkittles in 12 weeks… I have a SLH that’s just about to finish at 16 weeks…

I’ve never grown this type or strain rather. I’ve grown out 5 or 6 diff types of autos and so far I believe it is genetics that have alot to do with it. Most of the autos I grow have okay buds nothing worthy of sale of that’s what u do I’m sure I have not messed up on every auto I’ve grown so that cannot be an excuse I grow fems and regs without issue. The autos grow looking superb have hard ass buds while on the pla t but when the dry they r soft and airy fastbuds autos and ilgm GDP so far are the only firm buds I’ve put out in autos alot will say different but of I’m not there to feel it I just find it hard to believe. I have good lights use good nute grow in coco so I know there is no way it’s every auto I grow and not photos. Sorry this is just my POV

I’ve grown one auto only so not an authority on it, but mine came out pretty larfy (white widow) and using same nutes (jacks) and a quality light (hlg300L) my photo is stacking up with tight nuggz

Anecdotal at best, but just my limited observation

Lol I know @Nicky has an opinion on this subject :grinning:

Yep I get dense buds from autos sometimes. You can only control so much and most times it’s genetics. Autos for the most part are mids.

All my Autos have had dense nugs. Now when I first started I had loose nugs. I have plenty of grows under my belt now and is no longer an issue.

Proper nutrients + excellent lights like HLG = fat nugs usually.

One of my Autos. :+1::+1::+1:

Sometimes yes sometimes no. I did a Banana kush auto that was meh. Fluffy buds not as dense as the Banana Kush photos I did. I’ve tried ILGM Amnesia haze a couple of times with the same results airy/fluffy buds. I think it’s all dependent on the genetics and which breeder the seeds come from. I’ve done Northern lights that came out nice but so far with ILGM autos Lowrider has been the one that consistently grows well for me. The last Lowrider I grew yielded 6.5 ozs from one plant. I don’t know that ILGM breeds their own seeds I’ve heard that they get their seeds from other breeders, if that’s the case results could be all over the place. Currently growing Grease Gun auto from Atlas seeds. I have two going one is doing really well the other seems to have some genetic anomaly, after it sprouted I planted it in soil and it tried to grow head down into the soil and the tap root was all coiled up above the soil so I had to pluck it out of the soil and replant it. Now it’s smaller than the other and is growing in a strange circular pattern with the fan leaves twisting. We’ll see what happens.

I guess I’ll get what I get. We’ll see in a few weeks.

This has been answered many times.
Good auto genetics with a good environment will produce rock hard buds.
More often then not its the environment conditions, however genetics do plant a significant roll.

Yes it has, and that’s why I tagged you
I know you have a firm opinion on this matter and wanted you to put in your 2cents

This question will likely come up again, I’ll probably put my same response, as it’s all I’ve experienced so far, and I’ll probably tag you again to offer your opinion as I respect it and want OP to get multiple view points

Yes and that’s fine by me, even honored you tagged me.
There is stuff in the search bar for the OP to read larger topics on this shame issue with more detailed responses from me others.
