Dry trimming or wet trimming?
For me personally i like dry trimming alot more over wet i do how ever remove all fan leafs befor drying so then all the sugar leaf crumbles off with the canna brush after drying i also hang my plants whole to dry also
I do a rough wet trim at harvest and polish the trim when dry.
Leaving more trim on during the immediate post-harvest trim can slow down the drying process. Desirable for some. For others not. The decision is subjective.
I like to do a wet trim and get all the fan leaves and most of the bigger sugar. I will touch them up after they dry.
I’ve been hand trimming for so long I didn’t know there was a canna brush! Thanks @LiesGrows you just helped me spend more money
I do a rough wet trim and a final trim after drying. Just easier at the end to knock the suger leaves off and collect them when they’re dry.
It’s all personal preference. Wet gives better manicured buds, but takes a long time. I recommend you try both, and decide for yourself. But if you do, bear in mind that the trimmed buds will dry quicker than the others.
For me it all depends on how much is defoliated during flower but generally like a rough wet trim with a dry finesse trim.
Finesse trim
who am I kidding been smoking sugar leaves for the last 2 harvest now
I dont smoke but the sugar leaves add weight. but do a wet trim and agree with @newt the more you trim wet the quicker drying time and less chance of mold
Ha! I almost fell for that finesse stuff
I do a dry trim. Haven’t noticed any difference in how they turn out either way. Dry trimming is just easier. Especially with a cannabrush.
Thanks peeps much appreciated! i believe im going to try the dry trim method my dry room is 70 degrees and 60% humidity hopefully works, my first grow last season i wet trimmed ibwant to try both but definitely scared with the mold chance by dry trimming…
Ughhh wet trimming is horrible. Hang 10 to 14 days the trim or store and trim when needed. I hang the whole plant minus the big fans. This allows for a nice slow dry. Setting up a climate controlled drying space is key.
