Harvest Time wet or dry

I am on my 4th or 5th Year growing, mostly always done wet trim when harvesting what is your opinion on your favorite way to do it wer or dry trimming

I prefer dry trim. Keeping more of the leaves on makes for a slower dry.

Exact same for me. More work. Has given me better product.

I’ve done both. I’ve landed on a hybrid. While wet, I do a rough trim, taking all the fans, and leaving everything else. Then I dry and do most of my trimming with a Cannabrush.

I take the bigger fan leafs wet, leave the small stuff And finish with a dry trim . Gives me about 8 days slow dry. The more you trim off the faster plants will dry. environment also plays into it. Good luck

Thank You ! I was mostly doing a wet trim, I think I will try the hybrid trim removing the big fan leaves off wet and let the rest dry

I got tired of trimming and bought an ipower trimmer. Does a fine job. If you’re not into contest winning manicured buds, you can trim a lot fast.

Drying - rH level and time dictates how much I leave on the bud

Dry trim

I cure the good trim the same way I cure buds

I do a rough wet trim then finish it up when dry.

Talk to me about the brush – because I think I’m in your lane on the remove fans, leave the rest, then dry trim. How does it work (well, sorta ok)?

I tried the spin bowl and I don’t care for it. It makes a hell of a mess – for me. Holding the top on while churning is hard and so much trim comes out of the top while churning. ARGH.

I am an agreeable person. I like to remove fans while wet. Then put the branches in my mesh hanger and try to sllloooowww dry. Then call friends to come help trim. Then, hope for the best with high friends.

Stole this :point_up_2: from another thread.

It is a silicone brush, and once you learn to use it properly, it works great. The videos you may see of it show you just brushing the buds. But you have to be more “targeted” than that, to get some of the smaller sugar leaves off. If you’re not worried about show quality manicuring, I strongly recommend it.

I bought these silicone basting brushes for $1.00 and shortened the bristles. Works pretty good but the buds have to be a little drier than I like.

Is there something special about those brushes as opposed to a silicone basting brush???

I think they are stiffer, and have multiple rows.

This has paddle-shaped bristles, which are stiffer. There’s a good video on YouTube on them.

Concerned it might knock all the trics off the bud???

It does, some… But since I use a Trim Bin, I catch them and use them.
