Normally people cut the “sugar leaves” back to where they are flush with the bud
You can do a wet trim or dry trim I wet trim and dry sugar leafs separate then my trimmed buds @lynn4349
Thank you for your response and forgive me if I ask a lot of questions
So what is the purpose of cutting the sugar leaves are not to be used in making oil?
Sugar leaves and any trim at all can be used to make oil.
Leaves also have more clorophyll in them than the flowers (bud) does and chlorophyll does not make for good smoke. Therefore people tend to choose to trim it off, but in all reality flowers and leaves can both be used for oil and they can both be smoked. You don’t have to trim your buds, but it makes for a pretty bud and a little better smoke
The oil absorbs the THC through the resin gland, the more resin glands you have the better. Sugar leaves, calyxes, hairs, resin glands are all over the plant.
I make oil’s and butters and I’ll kinds of stuff with my sugar leave and keep the Primo bid for myself and if I decide to use it for a while or whatever that’s what you can also do
I think they mean they’re planning to use bud and all for oil? If so then I don’t see why you’d need to trim them. Just throw it all in.
As it’s just for me I leave them on and smoke them.
I’m not a picky man.
I make edibles so i only cut sugar leaves enough that I feel like they won’t interfere with the dying/curing process.
