Happy Hydro Yield Calculator

So, I received an email from Happy Hydro about their new yield calculator and estimator that they are beta testing. Any thoughts on accuracy?

I did notice for a 2x2 that the yield did not change if I added more plants to the calculation, which we be true based on what I have seen and read.

Absolute alchemy.

Put in my numbers. It estimated 1/2 of what I usually yield.

That’s optimistic! Did you try commercial expert? Or advanced?

I did advanced. There are so many variables - My 4x4 tent with the same lights, environment, soil, nutes, etc. has yielded as low as 25 ounces and as high as 42 on the 9 strains I have grown so far.

I was thinking the same. Maybe it at least gives newer growers more realistic expectations.

Especially since most of us avoid answering that question…because it depends on too many things.

A good grasp of the basics and growing experience are probably the biggest factors.

The yield estimates from the seed shops mislead new growers. It gets frustrating.

I agree with most of these comments above. But, these are low. 3x3 with zero boxes checked has commercial professionals producing .63 pounds from 4 plants.

The typical member here that’s serious about growing can usually do better than this. It is somewhat refreshing to see these numbers not overly inflated though.

Thanks for testing out the yield calculator. If you can give me more specific info such as how many plants, if you checked the boxes for Co2/env/irrigation, etc. that will help me further dial it in.

I’m thinking that I may have the co2/environmental control/and irrigation weights too high.

I may have to increase the base yields without that stuff and decrease how much those things impact the estimations.

I’ll use any further feedback given to adjust it - I made an adjustment to how it calculates commercial expert yields already based on another users input below.

Thank you for the feedback!

I just modified the equation to increase the numbers for commercial experts. Now, in a 3x3 with 4 plants and co2/environmental control/irrigation it estimates 1.08 LBS.

Without those 3 boxes it estimates .78lbs

You hit the nail on the head, though, I am trying to give more realistic expectations than what is out there.

Let me know if you have any other feedback I can improve it with
