I’m curing some now. I’ll have someone check it out in 2 weeks and get a report on it. I’ll let you know. For the most part I’m just going to use the shit for hash.

I hear you. I make large batches of butter and coconut oil, so I don’t really mind if I have a sub par plant now and then.

I’ve had same issue with mephisto seeds hubbabubbasmellasope nothing but foxtails, curing now will try the smoke but probably do a qwet with this batch hopefully get a decent return

I’ve got about 19 grams of pure kief. I got about another 9 oz of larf and if I take big girl and simply dry shift her then run her through ice bucket I’ll probably end up with a little over an ounce of kief.
That’s an ounce of hash. That won’t be so bad. I’m just struggling to figure out when to cut this damn girl down. She’s tying up the entire tent. I don’t want to start anything with her in there. She just keeps making new foxtails. She could probably keep producing until she finally falls apart.
You can’t go by the trichomes as she’s popping out new foxtails everyday. I might let her run 2 weeks just to get a break and just cut her. I hope your wedding cake isn’t foxtail all the way through I know you love that strand.

Happy Friday Ron. Got to what would you do scenario here. This girl’s packing and easy and I mean easy 10 oz of dry bud (100% foxtail bud)
She’s got new pistols everywhere. I’m sure once they’re done more will come daily. I’d like to start another grow. I don’t need to start another round.
Could I cut her down now since there’s really nothing I’m going to use it for but trichomes. Or should I let it run for a couple of weeks to get even more new tri-counts.
She looks underdeveloped but then again we’re not talking about regular buds they’re just foxtails. Not really sure what to do.

Hard to say for sure, but I think I’d lean towards chopping her and making way for what’s next. If you put another couple of weeks into her, you might find yourself in the exact same position a couple of weeks from now. The new foxtails are still going to be underdeveloped compared to everything underneath them, like a never ending cycle!

That makes sense. Since it’s easy to open her up and look inside the foxtailings, I’ll check her tricons on the inside. If cloudy I’ll chop it

, and i agree id probably chop and hope for the best, i extended my grow a couple of weeks and it didn’t do me any favors. I wiil say mephisto does tell you what the seeds are as far as f1-f5 i think mine was f4 but i personally no nothing about breeding so i think f4 isn’t a stable strainbut i could also be totally wrong lessen is do your homework i guess. @Zudnik, I’ve grown over 20 Mephisto strains. Most have been phenomenal, but a few were disappointing. I’m in no hurry to give Hubbabubbasmelloscope another try. Mine didn’t have any foxtailing issues, and the smoke was actually pretty good, but they were a major pain in the ass to grow. I grew three of them a few grows back, and there wasn’t a single branch on any of them that didn’t need to be supported. I literally had dozens of bamboo stakes and hundreds of green ties holding up every single bud. No question they were the most frustrating plants I’ve ever grown.
Shame on me to be honest, because it says right in Mephistos description that she’s a thin girl and will need support, but I just didn’t think it would be quite as bad as it was.

Approximately 4 weeks ago as you know I chopped about 5 ILGM GSCE
The only five seeds out of 20 that even popped. Six of the seeds straight out of the bag was white and dehydrated.
ILGM replace them with Do-Si-Dos that seems to grow nothing but foxtail.
5 out of 20 seeds isn’t a very good for germinating. Getting a replacement foxtail strand and almost makes you believe that they knew what they were doing.
Needless to say. I don’t blame them I blame myself I should have listened to all the other reviews but I gave them a shot anyway shame on me. 5 good seeds for $164 was not a very good deal to me.
On the bright side. The five that grew three of them was midgets 1 average size healthy girl and one giant.
Every single plant of the five plants at the end foxtailed from what I’ve read that seems normal for ILGM GSCE. It has an absolutely nothing to do with stress or lighting on my behalf.
The good news was that even the midgets produced over 2 oz I basically trimmed all the foxtails down to the regular bud and DIDN’T discard the trimming I simply put them in a jar to cure. Slightly over 3 weeks of cure they’ve obtained a mint chocolate chip smell and the smoke is a 100% guaranteed two hits and you can’t take anymore your stoned!
I don’t smoke but this is the consensus of people that I know and trust.
I would venture to say that on the two remaining Do-Si-Dos that have zero buds and all foxtails will not be as pleasant as the GSCE. As of now the first batch is 2 Days in cure and it smells like rotten feet on a hay ride and I’m sure it tastes the same.
@Zudnik I will definitely tag you in my conclusion of the cure of the foxtails. I appreciate you doing the same.
I’ve always spoke highly of ILGM and respected their name in this forum. However I can no longer endorse or recommend them.
Every breeder has their ups and they’re Downs. It’s the nature of what they’re selling and breeding. It’s just how bad is there Downs and how frequently.
Moving forward, I’ve always heard good things about Fast Buds and have accumulated many of their different top notch strains. I personally seen that for the majority of what they have all stay on the short side of growth yet produce fat buds. I’ve heard you’re never likely to ever see a giant from them but that’s not oh so bad. I’ve grown two giants and they definitely have their ups and downs. I’ll take consistent short 2 oz returns any day of the week!
I believe deep down inside that are peers are the cause of us getting bad replacements from ILGM as many of them are very dishonest in their claims. You can’t tell me they don’t keep stashes a bullshit seeds for people that they feel are being dishonest and replace them with the bullshit. Like a batch that only grows foxtails. So may I be the first to say shame on you guys.

I mostly stick to auto’s so i can appreciate the 2 zips per plant is good as long as it’s consistent i normally get 1 1/2 - 2 zips on the 3 grows I’ve done but was far from perfect grows… still learning and all I’ll have a smoke report in a couple weeks. Stay lit my friends

@Lostgirl, there’s one exception I know of to Fastbuds having smaller plants, and it’s called Six Shooter!
I’ve grown Gorilla Glue, Girlscout Cookies, Zkittlez, Green Crack, Six Shooter, and a few others from Fastbuds. Most were definitely on the smaller side, but the Six Shooters were giants!

Good morning Ron happy Monday. On the first Do-Si-Dos I cut down last week that was all foxtel 100% I use 90% of her in ice bath bubble hash. I kept a zip in a jar for curing just to see what would become of it. It’s only been in there 4 days.
To me it has a very strong hey odor. But this is still common this early and cure. Nonetheless, I had a friend try a bowl she said her first hit instantaneously tranquilized her body. On the second hit she was so stoned she sat down in the recliner for a few minutes. 10 minutes later all she could say was God damn.
She asked me when it would be ready as it’s perfect for the put me out go to sleep night night stuff that she’s been wanting.
With that news I kind of change my plan on the big girl still left in the tent. I’ll probably end up keeping three quarters of her and bubble hashing a quarter of her. It’s definitely ugly larvae non-bag appealing stuff. But when one hit put you on your ass and I mean physically put you on your ass I don’t think it’s worth getting rid of to bubble hash.
