GSCE Auto flower question

I’ve got 4 GSCE Autos growing right now and I’m flower. They’re really nice plants. I noticed that 3/4 have very large calyxes. Please see photos. The one looks very much like every other plant I’ve ever grown, but 3 of them have very large calyxes. Unlike any I’ve ever seen.

Can anyone explain?

It looks like the last picture is the one I’m considering a typical flower

Someone else’s posted something similar and this looks very close to that …
He opened one up and there was a seed inside !!!

Not saying that’s your issue but looks kind of like it

@Lacewing ya I told him to check and pop a seed out.

I have two GSCE’s and has swollen calyxes at the branches and seeds are developing, I checked. Mine has no signs of hermaphrodite. But my other doesn’t have swollen pistils with seeds. They aren’t as far as yours, but we’re out outside within days of each other, so I’m wondering if there may be a genetic issue. One seeds, one without. No herm.

Your 2nd pic appears to be foxtailing which is something most do at end of flower. They try to pollinate themselves and will go into Hermie mode if that is the case. I’m a newbie though so I could be way freaking wrong. Have you checked the trichomes??

I thought yours was the same strain also
I also see a lot of herm from people with the zkittles too

He also said 3/4 plants
That seems very genetic to me

I haven’t read anything on the Zkittles. I know a lot of growers got Purple Hulk instead of Bruce Banner so they are seeing different colors. But this would be the third , including me, in 2 days I’ve read of GSCE developing seeds

They do look like they’re foxtailing, but they’re in very good conditions and they’re only in flower for about a month. Also if you look at the leaves on the odd flowers, they’re curled at the base. The normal looking plant has normal flat leaves but the others have a curl to them.

I do think it’s genetic but what the heck is the genetic that’s causing it?

Or is it something I did wrong? All 4 are treated exactly the same in exactly the same conditions

I harvested a Zkittlez Auto very similar. Big fat calyxes… all of them. Not one single seed. And our favorite smoke, that we’ve ever had so far. Definitely genetics

So just a few pics. I got up close and personal with the flowers today. Keep in mind they’re only in flower for about a month. The 3 plants that have the odd looking flowers/calyxes are the ones pictured. The other plant is a few weeks off of harvest.

I didn’t get a foot picture of it but there’s a whole bunch of white hairs sprouting from the tops of the flowers/calyxes. My question is: the trichomes on the flowers all look pretty cloudy right now. What the heck am I looking at here?

@Redquill @oldmarine i tagged you because you had commented on these girls before. Any thoughts?

I see a touch of amber in the first. Looking nice.

What about the new white hairs at the top of the swollen calyxes? They’re only in flower for about a month and a few days. Should I wait longer? I don’t want to harvest now if they’ve got more to do

You can see the hairs in the first pics taken 4 days ago

New growth will continue throughout flower. Relax. If you are in the 5th week of flower, you’ve got time.

That’s what I figured, just curious about the coloration of the trichomes. I guess all new growth will have trichomes and will mature until ready in about 3-4 weeks?

So, as it turned out… seeds. Lots and lots of seeds. Every. Single. Flower. Seeds.

Condolences. Still makes good edibles
