Have no idea where to get a hotel…wife’s okay with it… I’ll be alone… she’s staying with the kids and dogs…so I just want to find a really nice hotel…this vacation will be short but sweet!

@Growmoredank I try to stay out of Chicago to be honest. But it will really come down to the experience that you’re looking for. The Eden restaurant is on the North side of city, but most of the touristy stuff is downtown. You can certainly drive, cab, uber, or take the L just about anywhere, but you’re not going to get shitfaced and walk to Eden from downtown area.
There’s a Wisconsin themed bar on the North side that is always a good time http://willsnorthwoodsinn.com/ maybe 2-3 miles from the Eden. If you want to dabble in a chicago style pizza or get a ribeye at Gibsons may change the most ideal place to stay.
