Used the seedling nute strength for this week and last since which got me to 290PPM with some calmag 350 ph 5.8-6.2 and the growth was slow so didn’t want to burn.
Average Temps/RH: 75/60 lights on
Res temp: 74
Light is at 50% and about 20 inches from top leaf. I haven’t switched to veg in the app but think I might today.
Took forever to really start going. But roots are now in the res. Today August 15th is a total of 19 days including germination. Not new to hydroponics, just cannabis. I’m doing top-off method with res change every Sunday. Wanting to get suggestions and if I’m getting nitrogen deficiency.
Welcome to the community. She looks good. Once she takes off she will grow fast in hydroponic setting. Good luck we are all here to help. I grow in RDWC hydroponic setting.
Trying to decide if I should flip to veg in the controller which will increase lights to 80% and a spectrum change today, tomorrow, or wait for the res change on Sunday. The PPM has been going up(~410), and PH is at 6.2 from 5.8. She has used up 2L of water since the last change, but I assume some of that is evaporation from the drip and fan oscillating over it. I’ve also made sure to leave a 2" air gap between bottom of net pot and water which equals out to ~3gal for a res.
The plant is technically in veg, I would recommend setting the light using a meter or PHOTONE. The PH drift will happen Growmie just check and adjust periodically
I have photone installed but seems the readings are all over the place or too high. I have a fold phone so front camera gives different than unfolded etc. I was getting 1600 on the front camera, 2400 unfolded, and then if I put white paper over the front I get 300 at canopy. I guess I just need to order a PAR/LUX device. Though I have no idea which are worth buying and don’t want to spend a ton on one at this point in time.
Ok, cool. Then I guess I don’t need to flip the program to veg then since it will up the intensity 30%. Granted I can just adjust it manually. I’ll search out a ppfd chart for the stages so I can make adjustments.
She has already grown more. It’s quite impressive how quickly it can grow. I also never thought about it giving off a dank smell when you agitate the leaves like tomato plants will but leaving your finger tips smelling amazing.
Same reason I bought the UT383-BT.
Your new purchase looks like I may need to get one.
Reason Individual measuring of spectrums.
Might explain my lights (quality/quantity/output and spectrums).
Thanks for the link.
The device feels pretty cheap but from reviews is pretty darn accurate even against the apogee. Granted, I’m perfectly fine with not having industrial lab accuracy at home for 50 bucks vs $600-1000. I’m thinking about wiring in a 1.5v line to the battery terminals and hanging it so that it’s on all the time and connected to my tablet to I use for the vivosun controller app when I get a larger tent. You can also connect multiple of them to the same app which is pretty cool.
