Grow tent smell

I have a vivosun 4x2x6 tent with infinity fan and 4i. Carbon filter. Noticed that the smell with 1 plant in flower is prerty noticeable. I saw someone saw to put a other carbon filter outside tent for air to filter through. Good idea? Bad idea? Other ideas? Dont want the whole basement smelling when guest are over. Trying to keep it private

Flower is loud.
add a 2nd filter/fan standing in the corner as a air scrubber :metal:t2::green_heart:
Only run when needed

As long as good negative pressure the total.air output will go through carbon filter. Wont smell a thing with fans on.

Yeahhhh i messed up and missed a second spot in back so that prob did not help and was leaking air and losing neg pressure. Corrected and will check this evening.

Ozone lightbulb may do a small bit of good of you can protect the plant from it. In the basement proper, etc

How old is your canister? If the carbon wasn’t well sealed in the box they can age out faster than you think.

I think I also need to try that. I took the fan and filter out of the tent and pulled air out in a hose. I needed the additional headspace to raise the light above the flowers. Seems to be more odor with it outside the tent; or as mentioned below, being six weeks into flower it may be more pungent and I need to do more to quiet it down. The wife is NOT happy!
