Grandaddy Purple photoperiod plants did not produce large buds and were very dry

From a fellow grower: 4 plants performed poorly and never made buds like all the others from that order.
The plants appeared to be at their end of life most of the leaves on these plants were yellow or turning brown. So we cut them to try as salvage what little buds it had.

They were planted in February and had 18 hours of light everyday until the 2nd week in March then they were taken outside and planted until the end of September.

How long had they been growing when you harvested them? Between 6 and 7 months.

Not exactly sure of the problem, but my guess is you put them out too early. They started flowering as soon as they went outside, then revegged as the days got longer, then went back into flower in the fall. You shouldn’t put them outside until end of May.

I’d also suggest getting away from miracle grow products. They are ok for flowers and vegetables, but not cannabis friendly. Cannabis has different nutrient requirements in veg and flower so my guess is not enough potassium and phosphorus in the flower stage also contributed to the problem.

I think @CMichGrower is right. I put some out that reveged and same result. I never checked ph either which may have contributed to this result. Wasnt a complete loss i just extracted everything

I think the growing medium was a big part of the problems. You are supposed to cut the time off the indoor cycle no more than an hour a week and when you get the time down to the amount of hours of light a day your area receives when you put them outside. Works for me every time
