Granddaddy Purple - 24 days

24 Days was beginning to worry as there were no signs of flower until today.
I know there are yellowing leaves, it is a watering issue. I pinch those off anyway.

By that I mean you could easily count that day as the day flowering officially began. :v:

Maybe its me. I’d be PO if an auto flowered in 24 days

@beardless With my autos they always start to flower ( pistils appear ) between 20 and 30 days. These plants are normally between 18 and 28 inches by this time . The height really slows and the flowers begin to fill out. My grows ( both early and late ) usually are finished by 8 - 12 weeks depending on the weather and plant variety. This is why I grow White Widow and Granddaddy Purple, they always seem to finish in about 12 weeks. I plant one in spring and the other the first part of July to get 2 harvests per year. I plant directly in the soil in pots outdoors. Have always had great success.
Guess I should say I live in the mid Atlantic region of the US.

Close to two months at least.
The leaves yellowing are from lack of food. It does not look like watering or pH issue. When the leaves go uniformly yellow on as much of the plant as yours it indicates the plant is pulling mobile nutrients from old leaves to support new growth. I feel you need to feed her.

Feed on a regular basis with Bergman’s fertilizer, not the issue.
The lower leaves are most likely due to the amounts of rain we have been getting.
I always see lower leaf yellowing at this point and just remove them with no bad effects to the plants.
I am after buds not leaf.

It may be washing out your nutrients.
Fan leaves are important to the overall health and productivity of the plant.
They are in fact where the plant makes the food it needs to grow. The food in the soil is just the raw materials to make the real plant food. Lower leaves do yellow and die naturally, but not to the degree yours are.
This plant only lost the tiny baby leaves so far. They dont have to lose those leaves so early.

I am not concerned with the yellowing of those leaves it is only the very low leaves and when I remove them I get branching, so more flower.
Thanks for your input.

Growing outdoors and turning two harvests makes sense. My first grow was WW autos. Right now I have a few granddaddy purple clones going. They are from cuttings taken from a GDP I started the first of the year.
The last auto I grew was a Jack Herer. It didn’t start flowering until day 55. It was also the largest auto. Good luck with finishing the season.

These are at 9 weeks. Both granddaddy purple. The tall one started to flower about a week ago. Nothing on the other. I have a bucket under the short one because the light is so high.
