Going from fox to jacks help

I will get to that video soon…
I just had answered that question a few days ago so it was fresh in my mind.
I have not seen a Mag def ever since I dropped the Epsom. I didn’t up part A, just plain dropped the Epsom.

High ppfd needs more epso. But if more epsom needed then 321 then your ppfd would be to high. Lower ppfd i could see less

No1 is smart until enough homework is done lol.

I follow the jacks mix chart , I figure if there is a beneficial change to the ratio jacks would tell you. Some YouTube person says do this bro and boom it spreads as the gospel :joy:
And my grow is just fine following the directions with literally no issues

@Scratchy Absolutely brother. Could not agree more. I tweak it a tad in flower but basically the same. I do 3.8, 2.3,1 and normal 321 for veg. Nothing wrong with tinkering but my issue is alot of people follow the lead of others without a true understanding of what they are actually doing. There all mostly the same but knowing the what is actually happening is beneficial. The guy on you tube is green gene that i posted and he has been going jacks for years, he tinkers way to much imo. Funny how he says traditional 321 is best yet he is always trying a new formula. My very first grow in the early 90’s was with peters professional mix and is the same company different name. That weed was phenomenal compared to a miracle grow or similar. Im out of love or i would like!

I appreciate all the responses. Sounds like I’ll enjoy this grow much more. Jacks sounds much more versatile and forgiving overall. Less headache of mixing. I’ve been pouring ff nutes in a table/tsp for every gallon and has become more anxiety and a hassle than pleasure and relaxing. I’d like to spend more time looking over my plants and seeing the little changes than spending the short time I do get to see them mixing.

So next question, this coco I hear, I’m going to be feeding them a couple times a day with this stuff because it dries fairly quickly, is this accurate?

This depends on if using perlite mixed with coco, pot size, plant size. Watering once a day myself but with no perlite. She drinks 2.5 gallons to get about a 1/2 gallon of runoff. This is in a 5 gal pot. Most run 3 gallon, but i never done that bc i dont wanna possibly need to water more then once. Heres a good pic for you, one plant 4x4

I’d rather not put perlite in if I don’t have to. Thanks for the info. I’m going to be using 5 gal fabric pots.

Once a day will be fine then. Keep tract of your runoff tds and if it slowly rises, then get more runoff. The key to coco (imo) is keeping your runoff in check.
