Girl scout cookies extreme is it time to harvest

Im in the 8 1/2 week of flowering, I stopped nutrients 2 week’s ago and the trichomes on the buds are just starting to mabe turn alittle amber and there is amber on the leaves. The pistils have mostly turned brown but have not turned in yet. Should I wait till they turn in and theres more amber I like a more indica leaning buzz.

Do you have a picture of the whole plant? I’ve grown GSCE by ILGM many times. They’re typically and above average size (almost monstrous) which would normally create longer ripening times. Also is this an Autoflower?

Personally, I’ve never had a GSCE finish in less than 10 weeks. (All auto flowers for me)

I actually have one going right now. She’s 4 ft tall, she’s an Autoflower, and she’s in week 6 flower

I anticipate she’ll take at least 13-14 weeks in flower before being ready. The bigger these girls are the longer they take. This strain tends to be a slow ripening plant. But if this is your first time growing it you’re going to be extremely happy with the end result as it’s in my top three most favorite weeds of all time

Beautiful was afraid my Runtz was gonna get that tall, so I topped her.
But now I wish I would have just let it grow

Week 6 the branches were holding up but in week 7 they started bending over and without trelliss I just started using twine and that green coated wire you get from the grow store but for my next grow of blueberry from ILGM im going to use two trellis’s and some bamboo stakes. I would also like to use some nutrients to build thicker stalks and keep the light alittle closer the first two weeks of veg. I moved the light down to slow but eventually had it at 12 inches from tops by the third week.

I had a really even canopy until the branches started toppling over.

Vegged for 4 weeks but my plant up front was a late srarter by a week and only got three weeks of veg and is maturing the slowest. So I would say atleast 4 weeks in veg is needed.

The plant looks fantastic. I had the same problem many times with this strain in regards to the branch is being so heavy they were falling over. I used Giant marshmallow steaks then it worked pretty well.

I will continue to simply check the trichomes regularly for your desired Amber. It’s just a wait game now

Thanks I will definitely wait on the trichomes to become atleast 20 percent amber. I just sampled a bud from one of the plants I just harvested because it matured and ripened alot sooner, and I got a really racy feeling and my heart was beating like a mule. The trichomes were all cloudy with hardly any amber on buds so this one will definately be a daytime strain. The other three I think ill push each one alittle further into amber to see the effects from each one and how they differ. On my next try Ill be trying to grow some blueberry again and use a trellis, bamboo stacks and some nuts ive never used to strengthen stems as well as bringing the light down alittle closer in veg so the internodes are alittle closer.

It’s really important to get the Amber. Cloudy trichomes it’s more like crystal meth than weed. It gives me migraine headaches and makes me sick to my stomach from the dizziness. Kind of a waste
