Getting ready for winter indoor grow

I have gotten my new DWC setup ready for the fall grow.

Only thing left for me is a new light. I am looking at the HLG 750ES. I have a room, not a tent. My old lights are probably fine but i was thinking I may get stronger branches with more blue. Is this correct? My sf 2000 has more blue than my SE7000 or the SE4500. I would prefer not to swap veg/flower lights if I could avoid it.

Canopy size max probably 5x5. Room is 9x12. Want to use LED for heat control with minimal ventilation. No smell concerns…….. maybe. :joy: so far hasn’t been a big problem but not sure I been using top notch genetics.

The plan is 4 plants. Gonna try 2 ILGM strains (GSCE & strawberry cough) and 2 Ethos strains (TBD)

Any advice/opinions appreciated although I won’t be building my own light.

2 different strains can mean mismatched light energy needs. Ensure you have risers to place plants on. I have a 4x4 and with 3 lights it’s easier but a single bar light kinda changes how much you can do if you plant 2 strains that are not close in growth and stretch.

Yes that occurred to me. Used riser my last grow. I am prepared for that but looked specifically for similar growing plants. Worst case I have so many lights i could rig one of my extras to the right elevation

The Diablo ES is great for veg and flower. No light changeout needed. As @Pothead64 stated, growing different strains can cause issues regarding light height since they may grow at different heights but you’ll be fine unless they’re drastically different.

Following along gro bro:grin::sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns:
I have a SF2000evo done a great job ontwo plants in a 4x2 tent
Just got an ACI EVO3 to try out a lot more coverage will be running it on 3 plants this upcoming grow but hear great things about the HLG lights just out of my price range:grin::+1::+1:

Not gonna lie, out of my price range too. :joy: my SE 7000 was <$500. I may call HLG and see if they will make me a deal. I’ve heard on this forum you can get good deals by calling directly. Although that may just be for refurbished stuff.

I don’t know much about growing yet (well, maybe a little from asking all you guys) :joy:
But my last grow grew spindly stems and fell over from the weight of the buds. I was wondering if a higher blue spectrum woulds give me thicker stems.

Been working 70 hours/week last 2 months after nothing for the previous year. So may just place the order too due to lead times. And my desired start date.

You could also try and give the girls some silicate. It will make your branches thicker

Been seeing that in other chats as well,

Also made the purchase of the 750 FS with growflux. Will arrive 8/11

I have 5 HLGs. Cant go wrong with them and their customer service is top notch.

It’s heeeeeere!

Here is my setup for the next grow.

I have the top drip on separate air pump. Using (2) 5” air stones each 12 gallon tote. 1 plant in the center of each tote. The small net pots are just for access if needed. Ceiling fan is awesome for air flow.

Gonna use up the rest of my GH nutes then maybe next grow make a change. GH did better than FF for me tho.

HLG told me 4-6 week lead time on the light. That was 7 days ago :joy: Now I’m fighting the urge to start the grow early.

I have ILGM GSCE and Strawberry cough on the docket. And I purchased some ethis genetics based on @Dennis62 statements about his affinity for them. Also searched the forum a little bit and didn’t find a single negative opinion.

Chama x original “z” were free seeds. Will probably grow the Big Detroit Energy and candy store Rbx for this one.

Questions:

What does R1 mean?

What does the Rbx mean?

Will that light still give me 4 x4 ish coverage without a tent? I can put up reflective surfaces if necessary

Oh yeah, also made this purchase last week :joy:

Nice! Good for ypu. Great light, sweet jeep.

Hey brother @Oderus Must feel like Christmas lol  WOW nice light gotta love HLG, I can’t help much larger lights, but I know the quality of my little lights and what they produce, you will love it! Very nice seed purchases :+1: I have never looked into what Breeders references such as R1 and Rbx are, I just have been doing Ethos stuff for years and always got top shelf weed. I’m a dinosaur lol  hope someone gives you info.
Congratulations on the great score on the jeep man, that’s a sweet looking ride my friend :+1::sign_of_the_horns:
Hopeful you are doing well my friend have a great evening :innocent:

The jeep is a toy. Entry level rock crawler. Not really great on the road. Although it can get up to about 70 mph :joy:. It is road worthy for a better driver than me. I have to practice, it sways back and forth. Weird feeling.

Very nice on all the goodies and pretty sure the R1 is regular first gen and RBX is Regular Back cross have fun with your new toys:grin::sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns:

Swaying back on forth is a weak steering damper or something loose or a crappy alignment. 2 of those are going to eat them 33’s real fast.

Also please do not carry children in that vehicle. Spent some time as a volunteer responder and those do not do well.

It’s a rock crawler, the reason it sways is because of the sway bars. I should be able to fix a lot of that with some type of locking device that I can remove for street driving

I don’t have any children, but I also wouldn’t put my pets in there lol

Most of my outdoor stuff looks ok so far.

Can anyone tell me what this deficiency is?
Stretch has stopped. I expect a week to hedgehogs.

I gave it 2 tbsp Epsom salts 30 minutes ago.
