Hey so Im about to start my first set up. Im going to either make a grow tent out of PVC or just order a 2x2 but the 2 lights I have coming right now are a HLG 100 3000K and a HLG 65. How would I go about hanging these lights since there different wattages @dbrn32 sorry you were the only light person i knew to tag but any others are welcomed to help. Thank you

I’m kinda scratching my head as to why you bought both? For less money you could’ve gotten a 135 kit that could be dimmed entire range and had more overall light output.

Because im only paying 50 bucks. My friend moved to colorado and started growing and his wife isnt allowing him to so hes sellig his equipment. Hes been trying to sell these for a whole so he offered them to me for 50 bucks total lol works brand new

Makes sense. You can use either of them, would probably flower with hlg-100 though.
So its be smartest to use 65 of veg and the 100 for flower but not both lights at the sAme time? And is a 2x2 accurate for these lights
Use the 65 for veg and both for flower.
Ya, sorry. The hlg-65 is plenty to veg a 2x2, and the hlg-100 is better light to flower. You could certainly do both with the hlg-100 if you wanted.
So would i just hang the lights next to each other at the same height since there different watts?
I would just swap them out so you can center in the tent.
Hey it’s the same guy but I got a new phone and lost my old email so I can’t get into my old account. But my leaves are turning purple underneath and the stems are too. Is this bad? I did just move to a colder area this past week and think that may be a reason but I just wanted to make sure this isn’t a deficiency of some sort
Cold temps can cause some purple but could also be genetic as well, how cold does it get?
60-65 at night 72-75 during the day. I have a small fan on it as well to help strengthen the stem. The plant is 15 days old since I started germination and maybe 12 or 11 days since it’s sprouted. I’m using ffof haven’t fed any nutrients yet. It’s currently under a hlg 65 v2 4000 for veg and I’ll still be using the 100 for flower unless I come across something better.
Yeah that’s a bit cold and could be the cause but otherwise should not be a problem.
Ok and do you think I could go ahead and start nutes? I have ff trio pack
