Light suggestions

Hello fellow growers I need advice on grow lights. I have a 4x8 tent and I have had a light stop working. I have a temporary light replacement. A HLG 350 Diablo. I know HLG is a great light and I would like a few suggestions on which light you would go with. I’m hoping I can get by with a budget of $1500 for 2. I currently have two grower choice lights (680s). In the past year I’ve had a light quit working twice and I’m tired of them because for me they have proven to be crap. Please include how long yours have been dependable. Doesn’t have to be HLG. Thanks

HLG350R and liked it so much, I bought the 260D-Kit and one UVA-30.
2-years, 18 months, and 1-year, respectively.
Two 4x4 tents, still a new old guy.
The HLGs are controlled with the AC-Infinity CC69P, or 75’s

Lights OFF shown.

The 350 or 260 are both too small individually for one 4x4.
Together, in one tent 600watts.

I have them separated and use some ChinaCheapies for heat and more light.

HLG just posted a sale, “POWER DEAL” (my phone )
Scorpion Diablo "Flat Style Plate w/ 6 new Quantum Boards. $749.00

I like the HLG’s for summer as they run cool

Thanks awesome news I’ll check out the sale

what do you have your light schedule to?

11 hours 55 min ON/12 hrs 5 min OFF
but for veg simply 18-6

I just hung the HLG Scorpion Diablo "Flat Style Plate w/ 6 new Quantum Boards. $749.00. It’s a heavy light. The Alaskan thunder F—K will appreciate your help. It’s in the flowering stage now. I’ll send some pictures tonight

I wish I could Hang one.
Sadly, or Fortunately,
My Vipar Spectras are needed for heat, in winter.
Together they can provide wall 925 watts or singly, about “match” the HLG350R output (maybe). I pair each with the HLG 350 or 260 (separate tents). TBT the seedlings and veg plants must like something, these (my tent residents) are growing, better this grow.

35 days, ILGM Afghan Auto in FFHF, perlite, and BigFoot Mychor.

Have fun learning.
My recommendation includes an IR-gun and UnitT383BT LUX measuring device (or similar). Setting for optimum, I hope.

Here’s a picture of the ATF, I’m in a 4x8 tent growing hydroponic ebb and flow system. Set up at the moment for 6 plants. Using green plant duel fuel 1&2 nutrients. It’s now under the HLG light I just purchased. I’m not good at the defoliation part of growing or topping but want to learn. The plant has been on 12/12 light for 12 days. Any advice would be appreciated

YouTube videos Bill Ward Marijuana.
Can cover many areas for your learning.
My photos look like that.
I have to cut the bottom 1/3 off. OUCH. That will open lower air flow and remove growth that will never get big.
Then, if they grow too tall, I cut the tops (clone material).
Plant Benders (Ebay) can help with “training”

I cut fan leaves to slow growth down and open lower buds to light.
Plant benders to bend or spread branches out lateral.

Stakes used for outdoor plant “spreading” of branches.

If it was me and already flipped I would defoliate at end of stretch. At that point you will see what is good to go and what is wasting resources. Will be able to just remove inner non producing branches. That is a very healthy plant and a viable candidate for clones especially right now going into flower. A good way to see what happens is by placing the inner wasted branches into clone state. Just my thoughts. If dont have a cloner then solo cups and rooting gel with Rockwool will propagate them for your hydro.

Thanks I appreciate the info. I did remove everything at the bottom 1/3 but the growth at the top hides it when looking down. I’ll research the sources mentioned and open them up more. I’ve been wanting to clone as well so I’ll give that a try.

Thanks I’ll definitely do as suggested. I appreciate the help. Can’t wait to see what I end up with.

4 ILGM-Hindu Kush plants in top canopy.

12 weeks since seed drop.
Cold grow life.

Spreaders used on one.
Clones and seedling down low.

They need trim, too.
