Ganging plants together in big pot?

Without going into the logistics, can I plant a few seedlings, they are about 2 inches tall, together in a big pot? Once they get a little bigger, transplant them to individual pots. Will I have a problem with tangled roots? Is this really a dumb question? Is this just an attempt to reach out to like minded individuals during a Covid quarantine? Am I just a little to high right now to deal with this? Did you see Murder Mountain? Gotta grab something to eat, I’ll check answers this afternoon, Thanks!

lol. There are no stupid questions around here.

I would keep it to one plant per pot. Just mho.

Yes

Gotta be quick before they get to big

Potentially yes, roots grow faster underground than the plant grows above ground. Make sure you put plenty of distance between the plants or they will Get tangled.

If they were mine, I would just let them grow up in the same pot together and never separate them. Their roots will eventually become a single network and because there is more vegetation associated with more plants then you can usually get through the veg stage a little quicker too

I have 3 plants in the same 5 gallon bucket filled 1/2 with old FFOF soil. Don’t…absolutely do not grow more than 1 in a pot.

This is with Regular seeds so two will get chopped. They are doing excellent but I do march to the beat of my own drums. :+1::+1::+1:

I just want to follow this thread because that OP was a wild ride.
