Foxtailing help!

I’m so depressed. Plants were getting close and then weeks of temps varying from 90s to 70s and since it’s getting to be fall I’ve lost sun due to a huge tree to the south east. I’m probably only getting 6 or so hours of full sun. Anyway, I’ve got some minor (so far)foxtailing.

I don’t know what to do. Should I stop the bloom food and just use water and keep an eye on the calyx’s that have dark pistils and harvest when I get the amount of Amber I’m looking for?

Never had foxtailing before.

TIA

Foxtailing isn’t a big problem. I always get them and just cut them off. Proceed as normal.

Do you cut them off when you trim?

Usually just when they get too long, but certainly by the time I do a rough trim at harvest.

The problem with smoking foxtails is that the trichomes on those new foxtail calyxes are as not matured as those on established flower, resulting in a racy, potentially paranoid high.

Cool, thanks

Cutting back or raising your light can stop them too.

I’m growing outdoors. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well, that changes things. Not much you can do unless you can shade them .

I’m thinking itay be the temp fluctuations. Only getting about 6 or 7 hours of sun.

Could be, heavy feeding will cause them too, especially outside.

Ahhhhhh, I was about to switch to just water. Guess I will for sure. The pistils (except the new ones)are about all brown. Just waiting for Amber trichomes. Thanks
