Found mite population in lower canopy

Found mites scattered lightly in my canopy. I also have a natural beneficial insects population. Mite damage is pretty minimal at the moment. I grow outdoors in a greenhouse. Thoughts?

I would spray with neem.

They could be aphids which that spider will eat.
I use killamite, eco neem, regular pyrethrum from the supermarket, Dr Rosenthals, and a soap and water mixture on rotation. Any of that should knock out the main group. If you want to limit chemicals also use diatomaceous earth in and around your soil, and try washing them off with water first.

I removed the affected leaves at the moment and I’ll continue to keep an eye on them and use neem if necessary. Thank you for the insight about aphids, I’ll have to look them up, and other small pests.

We ordered ladybugs and they quickly killed all of the bugs that were eating my weed. Also added a ladybughouse and leave some food for them so they stick around and reproduce. They also dont leave crap everywhere. Imo a way better cleaner alternative to spraying. And dont have to wash buds later

Right, I only realized later, thank you

I am of a similar mind. I used some bon-neem by Bonide on the leaves making extra carful not to get any on the flower sites. I also drizzled the bon-neem down the stem of all my plants. We’ll see how it goes. I just ordered some ladybugs and lacewings. I can trap them in the greenhouse.

@Allinherhead is this what you have for them to live in?

Do you have pics of them anywhere on here?

I dont have pics. That looks exactly like what my wife bought for them. Now she just puts a few drops of honey on a paper towel and they come eat that now that the bugs they eat are gone. I know theyre reproducing. I see the larvae occasionally and there are always some adults flying around. Next time i see them ill get pics.

Ladybugs worked :+1:
I put them in the greenhouse and I open it and vent it every day but I still have a large population of ladybugs here. Aphids are gone! They eat spider mites in case I get those.

Thats awsome. My wife puts a lil honey on a small saucer outside her ladybug house for them to eat when the bugs are scarce. They been stickin around and we see larvae crawlin around here and there now.
