Omg. Your plants look luscious. Beautiful and about the same height which will help I think. My tent came with one of those nets. Maybe I’ll use it with my next grow.

I’m keeping careful count of everything I’m spending to see how long it takes me to recoup the investment.
I was leaning to try to decarb and to make the oil in an instant pot (because I have one) or going for the Magical butter machine but I haven’t made up my mind. I do like the Levo, just not sure how it would affect the potency. How big is the dose your mom takes? What would constitute a good dose not couch lock for you? Does your mom just hold it sublingually or does she just add it to a drink?

The insta-pot method looks straight forward. And you’re already equipped so Id give her a go.
Not exaggerating, I’ve eaten over 2500mg in a single evening. What I’ve learned from that is there is a ceiling to being high. Once you reach that ceiling you’re just banking hours of duration. I’ve been high for days off edibles where I got bummed out because I woke up high for several days in a row. There’s no good come up there. Like you can wake and bake, but your already pinned to the ceiling so it’s just going through the motions. Every now and again I’ll eat a 100mg bag of gummies from the dispo (yes I still go there, I like shopping). But normally I stay around 10mg if I eat anything at all. If I had a faster metabolism it wouldn’t be such an issue.
I would guestimate that my RSO is about 700mg THC per gram. Each batch of fudge I make gets a full gram of RSO. Each batch of fudge is cut into about 25 pieces which would make them 28mg each. So she eats two of those before bed every night otherwise her legs have a burning pain from fibromyalgia (spelling?). That makes her dose 56mg / night. I make about four batches for her at a time which lasts her about two months give or take. My sister ate a piece of the same fudge and had a panic attack. Her dog also got ahold of one. That was funny/not funny.
I do make tincture occasionally when my friends run out of it. It’s just like making RSO except I stop gassing off the everclear with about a 1/3rd of it left then bottle it.
Also, last RSO run I did I decarbed 12 ounces in one night, the smell was an assault on my being. Woof.

Depending on what you end up making, you’ll probably be able to get away without much trimming. Of course the big fans will have to go, but as far as trimming the sugar leaves to make fancy looking nugs, there wouldn’t be much point if you’re just going to be processing it further. I’ve been taking my trimmed sugar leaves and decarbing them, then powdering them in a nutribullet and stuffing it in blank capsules off Amazon. One pill and I’m good for hours. Not for the weak palleted, unless you really like the taste of decarbed weed, but I’m pretty awful in the kitchen, so it works for me.

This was my first grow if you want take a look. Had some light burn issues at the end.

That is definately possible. My 1st round I had 9.75 oz dried from 5 plants crammed in a 3x3x6. 1/2 was kinda burnt up from lights turned up too much. I vegged them too long and they got too tall for my space.

They are looking cozy! How many gallons are those pots? They look larger than 5 gallon. And if they are larger, why are you using bigger ones?
Probably will end up making infused oil or butter.
Or if I’m feeling really feisty, I might make gummies (but what’s the point of using my infused oil/butter to make gummies when I can just consume the oil/butter straight?). I’m lazy.
I love how you’re using every last little bit, that’s a what I like. And I’m pretty awful in the kitchen too so I won’t mind the taste.
How do you use your harvest? Smoke? Edibles?
The Bubba kush with the gray pots, they are 3 gallon. The freakshow is 3 or 4? Just picked it up from someone so not sure. My little gsce are in 2 gallon bags.
2 gallon is almost not big enough but I don’t have any issues. If I vegged them longer they would need a bigger pot.

It’s not as bad as you’d think. This one is in a pot that’s maybe 2 solo cups worth of soil and it’s doing super well.
I’m actually getting ready to put it in a five gallon bag. I’m giving in. I was going to do a micro grow and see what I got but it’s itching my brain not to take care of it better. I imagine what I could gain in ounces and it’s worth the hassle.

I think anywhere between 3 & 5 gallon is good for a tent grow. I have a bunch of 3 gallon bags but I went a little crazy w/ tomatoes so I used them all.

So I had made the above post a while back. It’s still true. I can’t consume anything with alcohol in it. Can’t smoke it because I never got the hang of it (because of the fire I’m pretty sure). Can’t vape it unless I make my own cartridges.
Since then I’ve found out about dry herb vaporizers! I was actually searching YouTube for how to make my own vape juice cartridges but ended up watching a bunch of videos about dry herb vaporizers and got so excited I bought one!
I’m so dumb. I’m at least 10 days away from harvest plus 4-7 days of drying but the vaporizer is on the way. I guess I’ll just admire it until I have something to put in it. LOL.
Can I be nosy? How much did you have to spend to get going? Get everything you need? Including things like the Levo
Do you know how much 1lbs costs at a dispensary? And on the street?
I’m trying to work out how much I need to grow to make the investment worth it.

FML. Either this microscope is shit or I’m shit at using it. I tried working with it for a solid hour. It’s going back. Already ordered a different one. I got a nicer one on the way.
The strainer is pretty cool. I figured I would use my finest normal kitchen strainer when I made butter or oil and do a second pass using this strainer. But since I found out about the dry herb vaporizer and bought one, I may end up never making oil or butter. Still it was less than $4 so I’ll keep just in case I do make some infusions.
I didn’t really keep tabs really. I think between the first tent, lights, inline fan, tent fans, organic amendments, soil, ph pen, water buckets, and anything else I can’t remember right now it was probably around a grand. There really wasnt great starter kits like there are now with great discounts. (I love you AC Infinity).
The levo came later after it became obvious that I had more herb than I knew what to do with. Concentrating the volume down to oil just seemed like the path.
Since then I have two more tents and a total of 4 lights and many more fans.
The outcome (that sweet sweet bud) is great and should be celebrated. But it’s the hobby that begets the outcome. And so I invest in the process, and hope for a good outcome.
