One peice at a time

10/4 good buddy… I’m hearing johnny cash in my head 1 peice at a time… I have 1 mars hydro tent 4x4 with a tsw 2000w light… live in a state where i can have 3 mature plants and 3 immature plants. I want an ideal setup for a flower and veg room or tent.
I feel like basement is my best option also could use attic or garage but considering im in the northeast :us: … went dwc in 5 gallon buckets might wanna change to rdwc for the next bigger tent always had hydroponics in my head want something easier… thinking next light se7000 spiderfarmer … just pouring it out there stuffs expensive was reading up here and there… just like to see peoples setups idea’s first time solo indoor grower only helped water my dads clones we used to hide in the bushes before it became legal so anyhelp welcomed… 2 months since i dropped in water just flipped to 12/12… I talked myself out of sgrog

keeping it simple for this run want to trim alot more of the bottom of the plants … sorry for blabbing here hope to meet like minded people or even a monkey who seen another monkey do something good and coppied … monkey see monky do xD
unfinished basement just bought and paying off a house so yeah 1 peice at a time gotta setup the next setup

Your photos did not finish uploading. You have to wait until the upload says 100%. It’s a common problem. You might want to do a couple at a time.:v:

Want to start vegging the next strain this 1 was runtz next one is strawberry cough both from ilgm.com 3 plants at a time for now

Till I get a 2nd light and notsure how good I’d veg without a 2nd tent… too

@Outlaw this is my first go at it be happy with something like those numbers. Hear about jacks alot but last dry nutes i tried i had residue on bottom of tank could of been my mistake being first go of it. Looking to get a rain barrel and keep in yhe basement for winter, but might just fill it 5gals at a time how im catching the rain now… my tap water is up there in ppm… i dont have a ec meter yet

Put some insulation board under the tent. It will help keep it a little warmer and probably less condensate under it as well.

I read that somewhere about the insulation than i read that the cold floor elimates the need for a water chiller… atm atleast iys keeping me under 72 degrees my water that is @beardless

LOL - you did mention hydro. Makes sense.

Ppm/EC meter is one of the cheapest things you’ll buy. Unlike a pH meter one around $15 will get the job done for you.

Yeah i had two i thought were waterproof… turns out they weren’t bought a new 3in1 just ph temp and ppm realised when it arrived

You betcha. The GB 480 watt is killer. I’ve got @Fiz @SynysterChris @Jonesy287 and @Lacewing rockin the GB’s too. Although I think Fiz is a woman after my own heart and got 2 of the 240s for more flexibility with intensity/light height over an uneven canopy. Chris and Lacewing are both using large grow spaces, like you, so multiple 480s isn’t a bad idea at all. :v:

I seem to be everywhere.

Oh yeah you’re everywhere up in here!

I do have the 2 - 240s. Perfect for my 3x3 and a real lifesaver in the last grow what with all different ages and sizes.

Two 480s in that big tent sounds amazing to me!

I have a 240 in my 2x4 and running two plants under it just fine!! Love it

Dang, I guess I’m a cheapskate. Keep reading about people doing 1 2 or 3 plants under these lights… I cram in anything that can fit haha

I’ve got a 2 of their 240s and a second 480’om order, I’ll attest that they’re pretty legitimate lights. Basically “last years technology” of HLG, but at half the cost.

I’m cheap as hell honestly and GB was the least $ per watt and $ per light footprint, while still using quality materials. And their website is accurate on footprints too. If it says 4x4 flower footprint, that’s what it will cover.
And heat! That part impressed me. The 480 makes way less than I expected. One of my cheapy Amazon 150w lights gets hotter.

You must be smarter than me, at least attempting waterproof meters from the getgo
I went with the cheapest meters and shook them over my water buckets to get drips off.
Knew it would happen eventually… it did.

Must of missed the i thought they were water proof dropped both in on purpose to realize they weren’t

Lmfao …yeah you are …

My 480 has only been here a few days …
I work with a lot of indoor growers and not one of them I talked to thinks 480 watts is enough to flower more than 1 or 2 small plants …
This is my first attempt at growing indoors and I totally trust @Graysin

I have 480W in my 3x3 tent. One of my plants from the last grow yielded 8 oz, one was 5 (iirc). I ended up juggling five of them in that little tent, my total grow was 21 oz.

So, I think your friend is sorely mistaken. I mean, I don’t even have my two 240s turned up anywhere near max. In other words, I don’t need anywhere near that amount of wattage.

I get it that people want as much wattage as possible, since it seems like more is better. But since I got shown how to measure DLI, I go with the light level that produces the proper DLI for the life stage of the plant.

Here’s the last grow while it was in progress. I have four of them in the 3x3 here. That one in the back right corner is the one that ended up at 8 oz. The tall one is the 5-6 oz plant.

At the time I took this shot, I only had one of the Green Beams lights, so this is under 240W.

I was being cheap when I bought one of the lights, and I liked it so much I bought the other a couple of weeks later.

Haha OMG …beautiful work there and listen I just laugh when people say you are going to struggle just by hearing it’s 480 watts they don’t even know the exact light and if they read about it maybe they’d be like ohh wait maybe HahHa …
I also have like 3 trillion percent faith in all advice given to me by @Graysin
I’m gonna show this to the nay sayer’s I work with
