Greeting gromies!
After 1 and a half successful summers worth of outdoor grows under my belt, I got bit by the bug, and got myself a 5x5 tent, HLG 320xl kit light, cloudline t6, and various accessories to start a hydro grow in my basement. Got 2 custom fabricated 316L SS boxes with removable lids and drain stubs at the bottom, 4" netpots. Will be running Blue Dream x Bluebird…bagseeds that I got 2 years ago, pretty sure feminized since have produced 10/10 females over 2 years of outdoor growing now.
Wish me luck!

Don’t mind at all @repins12
Just waiting on some seeds to go pop and then we can get this show on the road!
Also tagging along. My girlfriend wants to try hydro and I’ve always been interested, but I’ve always been a dirt guy. So hydro is like a foreign language to me.
Maybe I’ll pick something up following along from the start.

@AloysiusDevadanderAbercrombie welcome aboard! We can learn together, that’s the fun in it after all, isn’t it?

What type of water chiller do you have?
I do not have a chiller, hoping the SS box and being on in the basement on the floor will help keep water temps down

Right now with lights at max dim and the exhaust fan at only 50% the tent is sitting around 75 degrees and 56ish RH

Well here we go, I had 2 seeds soaking in wet paper towels for 2 days and they showed signs of starting to crack open, so I moved them to the pre soaked Rockwool cubes, plugged the tops and set them in the ultra high te t propagation chamber. 80 degrees and about 70 RH sound about right? Boy I hope I’m doing this right…

I have not used rock wool. I have always used rapid rooters or riot rooters or the like.

@repins12 next round I’ll give rapid rooters a try!

Some people swear by the rockwool. I just know a few people that were having issues with it, that’s why I opted for the rapid rooter route.

Fingers crossed I see something come out of them soon! I prepared the rockwool, as suggested, in 5.8 water, and didn’t squeeze it or wring it out at all before putting it in the take out container with a seed. Plugged the hole top with some excess material from the bottom…think I did everything right

Sounds like the prescribed method, from my research

2 blue dreams did not pop yet…maybe too wet, to much light, not enough moist…could be that the seeds are like 3 years old…who knows
I went to the closest hydro store I could find today, one state over, and they had seeds! Got some fresh beans to pop

I used a paper towel till it looked like the seed was opening then put it in some Rockwool, I already have a plan in place for a different method, following the instructions provided by the seed supplier
