First time trying lst.... Is something wrong?

I’ve grown 2 autoflowers successfully before although I’ve never tried lst. So this time I decided to try lst but it seems like something just isn’t right. Did I stunt her? She’s a gorilla glue auto from here (ilgm). She’s at day 37 right now

Looks pretty good to me! You’re worried it’s too small? They all grow at different rates. I think it might be about to grow quite a bit, and then I suppose it will be in pre-flower. What size pot is that? Looks like a 2’x2’ tent? Looks beautiful and green, so it must be getting the nutrition it needs so far. LST job looks fine to me, too. Can’t really tell from these photos but I sure don’t see anything wrong.

Noob here btw

Hi! Thanks for the response. You’re exactly right, it’s a 2x2 tent. Something small. Nothing major. And it’s a 5 gallon pot from apotforpot along with their superb soil. But I do hope you’re right and it’s getting ready to explode!

I just tired lst for the first time with my current grow (my 2nd), and it only took hours for the stems to begin to turn upwards! I had to continually readjust as she exploded! They should seek ther light and grow!

I’m looking at your soil. Looks very wet. Did you just water? It’s the one plant, right? Best of luck.

@Sleep_tight That looks like an EXCELLENT lst to me. I have a hard time doing LST, so I would be very pleased with that. Also, this is a really broad plant, spread out. No problem there, because that will keep all the bud sites even, which is the idea of LST (or part of the idea). I feel like this is a good-sized plant for its age. I think it’s looking good. Make sure to check the instructions for your light to get it at the right distance for whatever stage of plant. That’s one benefit with doing LST like this, is you can get the light closer to all the bud sites without getting it too close to some. What light are you using?

Anyway, that is all just unsolicited advice. If all you’re worried about is your LST, in my opinion, you did great and nothing is wrong! They do take a bit of time to adjust, and that is a pretty aggressive stretch I suppose. I think you are going to be good, brother. Keep a good watch and keep us updated though. Learning is hard and can be scary! I have been on here in crisis so many times. To my inexperienced eye, all signs are go with your plant. I am again thinking it will straighten up, probably hit a stretch, then hit pre-flower as that stretch is finishing up. GG is a good strain for beginners, too. Should have started with that myself. My problems were ME, though, not the strain! But I am always able to get to this point safely, so I think you can trust my eye up til here. Once your baby explodes, if things go wrong, I won’t be much help, but just keep on top of things. So many helpful folks here to jump in.

They look good …plants are super resiliant…if you dont snap the stem even then they will survive

My biggest plant so far was one where I snapped the stem. I repaired it poorly, and it rejected my repair and just strengthened and grew the strand that survived, and it became mighty. I would never abuse a plant on purpose, but I was sure glad it came back from that.

Thank you everyone for your responses. Very reassuring. By the way I’m using an HLG quantum board 100w 3000k plus a couple supplemental CFL lights 6000k

Hey @Sleep_tight How are the ladies progressing?

Hey thanks so much for asking! I will post a pic right now

I think I’m starting to notice some leaf discoloration. Any opinions on that?

Can’t recall if you mentioned your soil and nutes… didn’t see anything above.

Add you’ve grown before, might need to check your values - ppm in, ppm out, pH in, pH out. May need to increase your Cal-Mag dose. She is beginning to consume a lot more now.

Oh yeah, I’m growing in organic super soil from apotforpot. It’s supposed to have all the nutes it needs already in it. Well, I actually know that it does because I’ve grown two successful runs before with just watering and had awesome results. I was thinking about throwing in some megacrop or some top dress from redbudsoil co. or something similar just to give her a boost but I wasn’t sure if it would be beneficial or not. Could quite possibly have the opposite effect and cause some trouble, being that the soil is so hot to begin with. Any opinion on that?
