First time in coco

I am growing first time in coco and all my previous grows were with soil, but mistake which I made was treating it exactly like soil by giving water in 4-5 days and giving fertilizing at 21 days ,due to which growth of my seedlings is extremely stunt, from today I have decided to water then regularly with ph meter reading and pom readings, my main concern is how much time will it take to recover and is there any chance they won’t recover at all ? What will be the consequences on this mistake in future on this grow

Auto or photo? If an auto you likely won’t see much of a grow. Photos you can simply run longer.

Coco has to be watered daily and kept damp or it will become hydrophobic.

I’m a fan of Jack’s nutrient line: their 3-2-1 program does a great job and is very economical. A dose of silica is recommended at every watering.

Coco needs daily feeds at first, multiple later on. @Low runs coco, @OGIncognito runs coco and Autopots. Both are very knowledgeable in coco. Thankfully photos are pretty forgiving and you can just keep them vegging until healthy enough to flip. @SilvaBack203 is another coco grower here. I’m old and have brain farts so if I leave someone out, not intentional!:oncoming_fist::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I run canna coco in 3 gallons with jacks 321. I hand water it and enjoy talking to my girls. I buy the bricks of coco. All photos btw

In coco you don’t really want to give too much ph’d water, should be feeding daily. If you have small plant in larger pot may not necessarily be daily either until plant hits stride, but should at least be fed before drying out.

Coco definitely needs to be fed every other day at least and if it is just coco and perlite calmag is a must have. I started out in coco and I was heavily underfeeding as well but coco absorbs a lot of that and doesn’t give it to the plant.

Keep the ph around a 6 plus or minus a few decimals as that’s where the optimal absorption rate is.

You will find much knowledge and help here at the clubhouse like you see above :index_pointing_up:t2::index_pointing_up:t2::index_pointing_up:t2::index_pointing_up:t2::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::oncoming_fist:t2:

I’ve heard people putting a part worm castings in it, what you think about that ?
