First time growing ever

I will check them out when I get home from work

For $100.00 you could get one of these. 300w from the wall. Great footprint. Full Spectrum. If you want to know what they’ll do. just look at my Super skunk Grow done with 2 of them. Have 4 of them hanging now and have 2 more I’m hanging later today. Great bang for your buck…

Thanks this will definitely let my wife breathe a little easier, she is still sceptical about this whole thing and I can understand that, but she knows a couple grand will be spent this tax return season.

Yes for now.

I think you could build pretty solid light for about half of that space for around $100. Would you be willing to do one fixture now and another fixture later? If that’s something you’re interested in I can go check pricing and availability when I get home a little later.

Yes very interested, I can use the 2 ebay lights as supplements until I can build another one.

I think these strips are little bit cheaper right now if I can find them in stock. See what kind of deal you can work up on a 12" x 12" piece of aluminum, at least .125 thick

Done

I can source it locally for probably the same price if not a little cheaper.

A lot of times you can get cheaper locally

Digikey has strips and driver.

BXEB-L0280Z-35E1000-C-B3 $2.80 each

Meanwell lpc-100-500 $26.03.

So you’re like $55 before tax, shipping, and any tariff charges.

You’ll also need power cord, that you could probably recycle from a non-working household appliance.

Thermal transfer tape for mounting strips to aluminum. This enough to do quite a few of those fixtures.

You’ll want a 5 pack of these per fixture. I linked 50, buy pretty sure you can change to 10 pack.

Ok, I will start ordering next payday. Thank you and I’m sure I will have plenty of questions when it gets here as I have never wired an led light before, done plenty of fluorescents though.

Led driver is pretty much same thing. The strips will need to he wired in series too. Piece of cake.

Feel free to shop around some for those parts too.

Ok for sure, and I was looking and the drivers, they look an awful lot like ballasts. I think this is going to end up being kind of familiar territory, I’m still going to have a million questions, and I apologize in advance but it’s how I learn.

Its liquid nutes by the way, I hid some laying around.

It won’t be as big of deal as you think. And you will most likely never buy another commercially built grow light either.

That’s the plan anyways lol. Unless they come up with some crazy crap that grows it in a month then I might buy one.

So got bored and put this together today out of stuff I had laying around…

I know it’s not really the right color but I figured it out.
