O yea. Forgot the extra light. And those are future budsites. Wherever u see pistils, there will be buds
I keep telling my wife I need more lights and she just looks at me funny lol, I am going to order another light going to try for a 3500k 600w mars unless someone cam point me in the direction of some diy that cost less than $100 (I will be doing the nice ones at tax refund time.) and thanks for everything so far.
I will give it a shot, I never should have put more than one plant in this container.
Not sure u can get much for $100 anymore. That was my target price for my build. Spent around $240 tho. And its a helluva light. How big is ur space? I can try to price a bit. But the kicker is going to be aluminum. Do u have some spare 1-2 ft sheets? .125 thickness… and if not can u source some locally cheap?
I purchased 16 1’ X 2’ X .125" sheets of AL at Xometry . com for less than $20 each.
Stuck 13 EB strips to each one - 177 watts per sheet. About $125 per sheet built out.
Seriously?!?! and im not sure that link is ok. Ill go grab a screenshot if u want.
Did they rape u on shipping? Man thats a great price @merlin44
The price that I gave included the prorated shipping…excellent deal.
I’m am in a 2 foot by 3.75 foot closest with about 5 feet to my light hanger. I live in the oil field so aluminum is super cheap and I can get it anywhere
Are u effing serious?!?!?! Man bookmarked. Heck i might buy aluminum next month in preparation for future builds! That price point can’t hold up
@dbrn32 2 x 3.75 foot closet… so 560mm strips x 10… hlg-185 driver… 2 x 3.75 piece of aluminum?
This was at their regular price back in March. I ordered a few more a month or two ago at a similar price.
I will start pricing stuff and waiting for confirmation from @dbrn32 on if this is for sure what I need. Another thing is next year at tax refund time, I want to get a 4x4 tent to use as a flower tent and use the closet for veg at that point should I leave that light in the closet and build another for the tent or what.
Laying on my back to take the photo
This is what I have for each of the four 4 X 4 corners of my 8 X 8 tent. Not in operation just yet, the main flower room is nearing harvest and I will be staggering the two rooms going forward.
Looks like majority of the strips are out of stock. Think id rather u wait for db then giving too much advice. I did find the 560s (2 ft long strips) and 280s (1 ft long).
Neither will quite build a light for that size under $100. But u can get pretty close. Wait for the Doc
So u have 16 sheets of light in a 8x8 @ 177w a piece?!?! Wowowow. And u havent flowered under it all yet?
LOL
Just finishing the build out of the tent. There are also control system upgrades in the works. The tent, lights and controls have run just about $3500 +/-.
I expect to be growing in there next month.
Dude its really gonna be magical now! Ur gonna literally be pumping out pounds. And with the controls, im sure no snafus like the outta controlness of the previous grow will occur. Im stoked to watch u do ur thing
All of the “out of controlledness” that has occurred was human error on nutes, injury and crap like that. The actual control system is rock solid and just does its job, day after day. My current flower room produces about 5+ dry lbs per run, I expect that from the new tent as well, maybe a bit more due to slightly larger area.
I have another question and it will probably be directed to @dbrn32, I have boxes of led strips from flat screen TVs (I was a TV repairman for a while) are they good for anything? I know they are cooler white than what we need but can I make supplemental lighting out of them once my ebay leds start burning out?
See any specs on any labels?
