So I am currently growing a super silver haze and not in a grow tent. It is about 4 weeks old and I topped it 3 days ago.
She is still growing but the stem to the fan leaves are a dark redish color now.
Also, the top leaves are starting to look shriveled if you can tell.
I get way confused with the nutrient deficiencies and excess. Everything is so similar in the symptoms.
Also, should I prune these fan leaves? Once she has time to recover from the topping and how long should I wait?
Id hang out for a second opinion but she looks great to me!! I think the shriveling your talking about is just new growth and is normal. The dark color on the fan leaf steams is normal too. Not sure what causes it though.
It’s ok. All my suckers are red to purple. Some of them striped. That’s just how they are. I wouldn’t worry about the drooping either. Be careful about feeding at 4wks. You don’t wanna burn them up. You should consider starting nutes at 1/4-1/3 the manufacturers recommended and move up from there. I am bad about pulling suckers. I feel like they block the light from bud spots. But people say that’s their job is to keep the bud spots from too much light. So I guess that’s a personal decision cause you’ll hear from folks that go opposite on the subject. Also, I use a fan blowing directly on them and oscillating as it makes the stem good and strong to be able to hold the buds once they start.
Be known I’m only on my 3rd grow and these are only the things I’ve learned in that time.
Looks good to me. I dont take the fan leaves untill a week before budding. I sometimes still dont unless it is dense and need air flow. They will tell alot about the health of the plant.
Welcome to the forum! I would not cut those fan leaves at this time. Those are solar panels for the plants energy. Purple stems are pretty common, I don’t really worry about them. My biggest deal is just doing the basics, light, water, and dirt. I use Jacks 321 at 4-5weeks. And always have run-off. Myself, I do very little pruning.

Everyone does it different and all have such different opinions so I figured id see what others have done or tried and what worked and then kind of figure how im goin to go on about it. I agree with everyone I would not remove leaves at this time. Here is a picture of my first grow. Didn’t train, top or anything. Grown in happy frog and ocean forest. They got tall and my yield wasn’t great. It’s a sativa so the buds were airy. After curing the buds were more dense. It was great uplifting smoke and it’s my favorite out of several grown. I love me some SSH!

As others said i wouldn’t do much if any defol until a week before flower. I mean a leaf or two towards the bottom especially if its dry and shriveled doesn’t hurt but you want them all during veg
I am also using happy frog soil and i love a good haze, always a good high! Im hoping this leads to a good couple smokes atleast! Lol Thanks for the pics, it always help me to visualize!
Welcome to the forum @Niikkii00 I try to keep trimming to min. I do how ever trim out the bottom a bit once it kicks off and starts getting thick, and when budding to open up bud sites. Good luck once you start thinning it out it goes bushy as all get out.

I think your plant looks good. I would not take any lower leaves unless they are touching the soil. Welcome to the forum, good luck with your grow.

It was a photo. I’ve only grown autos since.
On that note lol this one is a photo but im also growing a space candy auto ( i didnt realize i got both until after they started growing) But it is SOOOO much smaller for almost 4 weeks what do you think? Its also started out growing almost deformed like.
Naw nothing looks wrong in what I see, leaves will get deformities but should get better as she grows
