Ran into some temp issues again, with lights on and tent closed up, I hit 86F and peaked for a bit at 88.
So I did some relocations.
Moved the water chiller that was producing heat from the back, to the outside of the tent.
Hopefully this helps a lot, it is a hot day today, I’m at 78F right now with lights off
@NeoGroR here are those pics you had asked for. The plant in the first picture, didn’t have any sticking out the net pot yesterday morning but I saw it at the bottom ready to come out.
cant keep my tent closed at all times, temps just hit 90 after it being 85 most of the latter day because of the heat outside.
just opened the flaps to reduce temp down.
thinking about removing the little intake fans and getting an inline fan for intake with some ducting and putting that sucker right in front of the ac lol.
what do you guys think?
@NeoGroR @Covertgrower @Bogleg @dbrn32 @peachfuzz
What kind of fans are you using for intake fans?
That should be fine. I have never needed an intake fan at all, just run passive. what is temp of your intake air and where are you measuring temp inside of your tent?
im measuring temp on top of the res right now because its the same height as my plants
And the air temp in room your intake air comes from?
im not sure, but the apartment i live in is very bad with keeping heat out. so the whole apartment heats up a lot when its hot outside, and vice versa.
i have a 10,200 BTU ac in the room and i still cant control temps.
Seems like it. Do you have carbon filter installed?
I actually removed the carbon filter on the exhaust to try to take more hot air out and it didnt help at all, i still hit 90 today with it off.
Sounds like the room is just getting too warm.
Yeah, I don’t get it. You seem to be doing everything right. You must live in imperial county, that area is hotter than hell. Relentless.
Im thinking only choice to get better temp control is to move haha
Just an update on the plants, even though tent has been getting hot as hell, plants are looking good in my eyes and seems like no nute burn on the newer growths.
Then there’s the little one that’s just been slow but looking good.
Just another picture update, plants and roots
@peachfuzz @bogleg
That last root pic has some brown stuff on it, but it’s not slimy, the buckets do have that slight foot smell it’s had since before the roots even poked out the net pots, but it hasn’t gotten any worse than it’s Always been.
My res temps are 68F at all times and I also use hydroguard.
Net pots are 2 inches above water line.
Do you guys think it’s a cause for concern?
That county is just 3 hours south of me, i believe we get equally as hot
also, more roots pics for ya bud
How often do you clean out buckets or is this an rdwc set up… ?
Looks like a rdwc setup…
its an RDWC set up, its week 2.5 and ive replaced water once a week ago.
Going to replace water again in a couple days when i hit the beginning of week 3.
Ya , it’s kinda hard to point you in one single direction…
I don’t like the single bucket rdwc setups , just because there are so many things to clean and stay on top of…
This is also the reason that I dont vegg in the system’s that I flower in…
It may be nothing or it could be early signs of issues a head…
You should try to clean system every 2 to 3 weeks while in vegg…
I dont clean anything in flower , I just empty everything and reload nutrients and freash water and keep topping up until another 3 weeks rolls around…
