How far away is the light?
Are you providing nutrients?
My thought is nutrient issue, then maybe being damaged by light. Wanting to see answer to both questions above.
The blurples WERE only 12 inches away, I just raised them to 20 inches, and the HLG 300L in the middle is 25 inches away dimmed to half power.
I have circled the plants that have the white tips, it’s possibly it could be bleaching from blurples being too low?
It’s probably from nutrient burn. Light burn presents itself different. You’re looking good at that height.
I am providing nutrients. I am currently top feeding 3 times a day. With 370PPM water
My filtered tap water is 170PPM, I use a hydrologic small boy to take chlorine and Such out.
Then I add 200PPM of AN micro grow bloom.
Resulting in the 370PPM.
(Will be getting an RO conversion kit soon)
The picture is after I raised the blurples, before, they were 8 inches lower than that.
Stop feeding them. Just top feed them with plain water for a bit.
Okay, I’ll top feed with just plain water for next couple days? Should I then switch to feeding with nutes once a day then watering with just water the other 2 times?
If they were my plants I would just give them water until new leaves come out that don’t have burnt tips. Assuming you soaked the medium in nute solution there is nutrients available to them already - no need to top feed with more until they are bigger.
Okay will do, thank you for the help it’s very much appreciated.
Woke up just now with yellow tips on newer growth and a weird curling on one of them
I have been top feeding just water with no nutes.
@Bogleg @Covertgrower
You’re still on the right track.
Woah! The roots on them grew out the net pots overnight!
I checked the PPM of the water in the system and it was at 600!!
I drained as much water i could out, and added fresh water and added 150PPM of nutes and brought the PH back down to 5.8. The water in the system is now at 320PPM (170PPM comes from the filtered tap water)
WE HAVE ROOTS!
and also this little girl that hasn’t really done much past couple days, I wonder what’s going on with her
See? And you doubted us. lol.
haha hey, no doubt, just over worrying about the plants.
After awhile you stop worrying, relax, and watch’em grow. They’ll bounce back.
I’m not asking for daily root ball pics, but it would be cool to see the difference tomorrow. I’m really curious how fast root growth occurs when it hits the water
Got you, ill post a pic of them tomorrow or the next day.
I do know though, 2 days ago when i looked for roots i saw no signs of them.
