First indoor grow - ILGM Big Bud

Yes thank you I would have put one up for you but I honestly can almost never find them I think they put them somewhere easier to access now I’ll have to check, but here we go what …you got going on ?

Okay so you say potting soil but I don’t know how active it is, for example Fox Farm ocean Forest is active but their happy frog isn’t so I’m thinking you might want to give 1/4 strength nutes (veg mix), it won’t hurt and it will likely take care of the light green issue

… I wouldn’t start any stronger than 25%

I’m still not seeing the white spot, is it in the top picture?

Its just standard potting soil from the local garden supplier. Nothing special. I have not given it any nutes yet as I thought it was too small but Ill do something tonight. It probably needs a water today or should I spray onto the leaves as its a small plant?

And yes the top picture. It looks like little white spots on the leaf

Yes I think they’re lite green because they need food I would advise you to water and 1/4 strength you might be able to go stronger but I wish you’d stop with a quarter the first time and see what happens I think they’ll green right up and from now on you can start adding as needed

The spot might be a sign of a deficiency so the food might take care of both of these issues, feed and give em a couple of days and we’ll have a better idea, aside from that they look good to me

Thats great. Really appreciate your help , thank you

Hold on Buddy I think we have to talk I downloaded that picture and I see a ton of little white dots have you checked for mites I need you to turn the leaves over gently and look underneath they look kind of white and they’re tiny like the head of a pin and you might have a bunch of them can you just check because I’m not great at this and my eyes aren’t great but I do see a ton of little white dots which is indicative of Mights

I initially thought it was mites but I ignored that because everything was brand new, soil was sterilised etc so there wasnt a way for them to get in. Its a new tent, etc.

No no don’t think that they come in the soil they come in from the dog the yard you’re clothes I’m not sure I’m still looking at that photo I didn’t see any in the second photo but I need you to check the top photo plant please

I only have the 1 plant and its only the 1 leaf. Its in the night cycle at the moment for another 4 hours or so but Ill check it again then and take another pic and have a good look about.

Oh I see okay well it looks like it but it doesn’t mean it is so relax because either way it’s okay, it’s small so it can be treated successfully at this point with no problem and definitely feed it a strong plant is a healthier plant

ok ill do that, thanks again

No problem I got an eye on you we’ll get you to the finish line amigo!

You know eventually somebody’s going to say to you that you have to get a pH meter so I’ll guess I’ll do it right now

…you have to have a way to measure and adjust your pH or you will not succeed

10-12 bucks on Amazon, you can adjust it with baking soda and vinegar but you gotta spend the 10 bucks on a meter

I have a ph meter and a soil testing kit already

Awesome when I saw you didn’t test your run off I incorrectly assumed …I was just reading up on your stats, looking for a best way forward

A plant that young you don’t really need to check the run off but it’s never bad practice

You’re going to love the big bud! I grew some this spring, was smoking it yesterday it’s nice! :ping_pong:

Does that $10 include shipping? I was thinking of getting an Amazon gift card to get one, but not sure how much I have to get. My money is tight, so I can’t use more on the card than I need.

I don’t know I had prime but now I don’t so I have to spend 49 bucks which unfortunately isn’t hard, I just spent another hundred for the sulfur burner and the pellets :frowning:

Treez had a meter it was like 15 bucks but it looked a little better than the typical yellow ones if you gave him a shout I know he could hook you up with it

Plant is starting to bush out a bit and the top leaves are looking fine. The bottom are still quite pale but put 25% nutes through and it seems fine. The ph is 6.8 soil but as its a small plant in a big pot I am trying not to drown it and so no run off to test.

not sure what all you are using,… but is it getting nitrogen?.. soil looks really dry too, but leaves are not droopy… at this size I was giving mine 2 cups of water 2-3 times a week… with 18 hours a day of fan time…
if she were mine I would hit her with a dose of worm casting tea next watering.

Its a small plant in a 5 gal pot so I’m only watering in the middle around the plant so the soil around the edge is dry. I put a weak 633 nute at the weekend and about half a litre last night. Its on 18/6 lights at the moment. The plant is holding itself no problem but the branches are small. I do have a weak n only solution in a spray bottle which I could put onto the foliage?
I did wonder if it was the leaves above blocking the light
