If you put in worm castings be sure to put them through a sifter before adding it into the mix.
Just a hand held sifter.
And make sure the potting mix you choose has NO water Crystal’s.

Hello there and welcome to this awesome place with a bunch of pot head friends from all over the country. Its amazing what you can learn from these wonderful people that you will get help you willingly and freely. I have had successful outdoor grows over my years but this is my first rodeo with an indoor organic grow…aww man I mean to tell ya… a whole different world of growing weed opens. IT IS GREAT!! Being that I’m just starting to crawl up this road I’ll leave growing advise to ones who are in a full run. I CAN advise this…Follow these ladies and gents advise and you WILL make it to harvest. Ask before you make changes if unsure(its easier than correcting wrong change). Less is more. Read read read then read some more. Enjoy & good luck with your grow @Rob10737. Be seeing you around. Shout out anytime.
I use 7 gallon soft pots and I love them. Granted I only have three grows I’m gonna try a bigger pot 10 gal. maybe
Can you show more pics? Pot looks small from the last ones.
I have 3 gal cloth pots. Ordering 5 gal for next grow but my space may be too small for them.
This is me @Angie you can tag along if you want. My girls are about a month or so older that your pic. I’m in process of adding light diy style with help of course!!. I’m really excited.
sorry thought they were 5 gallon
That’s where mine came from.
i try worm casting after this…
i want to know how much of these elements like coco, vermi, perlite,…must be to gathered for, for example 7lb pot.
how to measure, how much for veg !!! must be mixed ?
im going to organic too.
That’s what I’m using. My girls like it so far.
Ahhh yeah that is a beautiful sight there!!!
I am working on it!! Hope my learning agrees with me and mine like it has for you!! I’m gonna tag along if that’s cool with you.
Ty so much I look forward to it!!
Hey there…@dbrn32 . Will a street sign work?
You should have the lights on 24hr until your first 3 weeks are up then dial it back to a 20 on 4 off, a 18/6 will work but a 20/4 is better for a autoflower but definitely 24hr for the first 3 weeks. Move those CFL light close as you can without heating the plant, after 6 inches florescents suck…
Lots off good advice here.
Now looking at your specific situation it looks like budget is a big item I assume.
So you could try to save some cash by using Reverse osmosis water and reading your plants vs testing PH and TDS but that’s definitely not what everyone here will suggest because it’s not the gold standard.
Apera PH20 is as cheap as you want to go for a PH pen, anything cheaper won’t be reliable.
TDS meters are cheap and reliable.
Definitely fabric pot.
Autos like airey soil so 30% perlite mixed with your soil when you get it.
Ps @Angie @stoney1 @Dman1969 and others don’t think you realize it but your hijacking a new growers post… Please refrain from doing this it’s not fair to the OP.
Aww ya know you’re right!! I’m so sorry @Royc. Didn’t mean to do that. I’m really new at intermingling with everyone…get carried away. Thanks for the pointer @Nicky. My mind goes
sometimes!!
Ok, I dont want to sound like an ass here but I’m a big believer in helping others but also want others to help themselves.
In regards to perlite, vermiculite, coco coir, peat moss, worm castings… do you know what each one does…?
The reason I ask is because once you have some understanding on the role each one plays the overall ratio will make sense to you
