Just a couple suggestions: Make sure buckets are food grade and have not had potentially toxic material stored inside them. Soap containers are OK.
It is not really advisable to mix many grow mediums together all in the same grow. It is better to try each separately, see what happens with each and determine the positive or negative affects they could have on your grow.
It’s your chgoice though.

I also have been coming to the realization that I might end up doing hydroponics 
so I will change all of this when that time comes
@Countryboyjvd1971 I did get my light! It is so bright man! Haha so I plugged it in to make sure it worked, and when I shut it off one of the led chips on the board stayed illuminated for a couple mins. I unplugged it and then it went dark. Is this a sunset feature of my light or will it never shut off? I probably wasn’t patient enough to leave it plugged in and off to check. I’m building my setup in the next few weeks

I have 2 of the 1000 watt comping should be here Thursday but with a storm comingcalling for 4 to 6 inches of snow I’m thinking Friday

I just read another post about an hour ago same thing. The led went off after a bit for both guys but I would test yours to see how long it takes to go off.

Okay so my led light doesn’t completely shut off when powered off. It stays plugged in and when I turn it off one of the 200w led chips on the board does dnot shut off! It is super dim and I dont know what to do, it is on the corner of the led fixture out of the 6 200w chips

So, you don’t seem to have a timer and you should have one. Just unplug your light for the night cycle or invest in a timer that is “energy star like” that do not draw power when light is off.

I will look into this, but even with light switch should work from factory right?
No, it’s still plugged in the wall and it’s in “sleep mode” but still drawing power, that’s why they do not completly shut off .

How do you like your new scope
Mine looks kind of similar to yours I think it’s 60 times zoom up to 160 times zoom but you have to be so still it’s a pain in the butt really thought about buying a microscope cutting a joke often looking under a microscope at it

Yeah I think I have 60-100x and I use books and stack them and it has a clip I attach to my phone, it’s kinda unsturdy, place my phone up and it sits still and I focus and move the bud with one and focus with the other lol then snap the pic when I see best focus it doesn’t stay in focus I did notice that:raised_hands:t3:
But as a handheld it works great and does the job. I will always know when to harvest my buds
