Continuing the discussion from Is it ready to harvest? Please advise:
Like the topic says I’m going to try growing outside amnesia strain mostly sativa if I remember right probably 80%. I think. Males and females. I’m pretty sure they’re photo. Although they may be autoflower.Pretty sure in week one right now. I used old dirt that’s never been grown in along with some nutrient dirt all different kinds that I had composted Fox farms with some as perlite in there. In my dirt there’s goat poop and lots of chicken poop.
Any advice criticism is definitely wanted/needed. Everything’s helpful. Just no haters no trolls please.
Welcome ! No haters or trolls here, the moderators won’t allow. A few of us are doing outdoor grows or prepping too including myself. Long as the plants look happy and healthy keep on keeping. Lol. Just keep us in the loop cause we all learn from each other. My first rodeo outdoors I’m just using happy frog soil til about 6 weeks than I’ll be mixing my own nutrients feeding. I’m running all autos.
Nice, thanks for the info I appreciate that. Here’s some pics I took of my little greenhouse before and after insulating it and installing the lights for night time.

I’m also going to use the nutrients bought from Walmart on them as soon as I get a new soil tester.

Uh oh I seem to be in an endless loop uploading the photos LOL
I had to hurry as fast as I could before I got too cold so I just put as many old tarps on there that I could an old plastic pool and some roofing shingles LOL
Some photos never uploaded due to crappy internet and me living a half mile back in the woods lol. So I put them on those post. Can anybody who really understands the nutrient numbers let me know if these numbers on this fertilizer I got from Walmart can help my grow? Thanks!
@OGIncognito @Growdoc @kaptain3d
Nutrient advice needed. @Caligurl
I’m sending in reinforcements to help you
Thanks!
Hopefully I won’t burn them. I felt the need to move the lights closer to them since it’s already freezing outside and it’s only midnight.
I did the best I could lol. I’m not a spring chicken and the greenhouse is small. Just for starting them. I need to build my outdoor greenhouse next. It may take a week or two. Should be in time for when they grow too big. I get too many back aches sciatic nerve pain wouldn’t have been down so I went there and did the best I could hopefully it’ll be good enough
I have a quick question for anybody as well. How much time might I be able to knock off by using those lights? They are six 15 watt full spectrum LEDs. Vivosun I think. If I keep them on all night every night I wonder how much I could shorten the vegetation to the flowering stage and then how much could I shorten the flowering stage for? Right now I think that’s about an extra 10 hours per day if that helps figuring it out
Thanks @Lightbrightt2010. The potassium and phosphorus look ok but fairly high in nitrogen. You’ll need to add calcium and magnesium if you choose to use this fertilizer
A female plant won’t start the flowering period until sexual maturity and that can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Shortening a flowering period isn’t possible, this would be more strain specific Growmie. You can start a seed on 12/12 and shave a few weeks but the plant will be smaller and produce less fruit
I’d like that,
happy gardening @Daves_not_here
You can start plants with that but need around 45 watts per square foot to flower a plant well.
Too much nitrogen for flowering in my opinion.
Well for seedlings… that 3-1-2 works (just multiply your ‘1’ (8) times 3-1-2 and yours is fine. You will need a different NPK mid way and aim for more of a 5-10-14. You will also probably need a good cal/mag…
Of course, we can go down the rabbit hole of what your soil is comprised of almost impossible to get run-off numbers when growing outdoors. How old was the goat and chicken poop? They need to cure before adding them to soil… chicken poop is 3-6 months up to a year (preferably) and goat poop around 4 months… also both would be better if composted with normal other composting things (greens, browns, bokashi, etc…)
Make sure all of your plastic buckets have enough drainage at the bottom (holes), and yes, you will need more light. When does your summer start because that will be all you need.
EDIT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY @Lightbrightt2010!!
It can be for you. I recently seriously considered moving into a huge RV and selling the house since my roof needs repairing and the taxes are too high anyway. A nice 40 foot RV looks very comfy lol and I saw one for about 20k. Hell if you’re a diy guy I saw a LOT of salvage ones starting at around 1000.00 ! 40- 60 footers too!
I see reinforcements came to the rescue @Daves_not_here hope they are as helpful as you would have hoped for.
Extremely, thank you very much! By the way it seems that all my hard work has paid off. The freeze which would have killed them all hopefully it looks like didn’t even make a dent in them!
