Fan leaves when to cut

Hello everyone thank you again for all your help, but I’ve been looking into when to trim a fan leaf. Are these fan leaves taking energy from the flower if I’m correct there is no pistol or flower on the stem of this fan leaf . There is no flower growing from these leafs and if I’m wrong, please help me understand if I should or if I should not cut these leaves. To me these leaves are taking up energy from the plant. Since there is no flowering growth on the leaf stem . I’m probably wrong for thinking this way. Please any help would be appreciated

Leaves make energy rather than the other way around. Leaves use light to manufacture sugars for the plant and the plant uses those sugars for energy.

Trim only as necessary to maintain good airflow within the plant’s canopy. Doing so helps CO2 replenishment and plant respiration of moisture, mitigating the risk of mold. The plant otherwise needs its leaves.

Hiya, your plant looks good. I would only remove the large fan leaves if they are not getting light, and are in the shade produced by the plant. Thats the only time they would be taking energy from the plant. What is the strain? I would guess its a sativa looking at the leaves. Is it an auto or photo-period? I would also remove any fan leaves that are shading the flowers. Good luck!

Looking good. Like said defoliation is optional. Unless shading a bud. It is even ok to cut off the lower flowers without taking the leaf beside it leaveing the leaf to photosynthesise.
Keep on keeping on.
