Ecru infuser first try- didn’t go well. Suggestions for time and temp?

I meant 1 zip to 14oz oil…lol.

Going to try the coconut oil, been using MCT oil, wife sez the taste maybe liked. When using just bud I use 12 gr to cup of oil, have not done any of my trim and larf yet.

My amounts are high concentrate. I make a large amount of gummies and edibles. 1/2 oz good bud will set 90% of folks on the floor. Long infuse.

Iam baby stepping it until we a happy place, did high dose making carmels and damn we had to go up the stairs on hands a knees and still cruising half the next day ooooooppppps.

Nutty. Bakes well. Gummies well.
Keep refrigerated after infuse. It can sour unlike olive.

Thanks the heads up! Did not know.

So I tried a third time after checking all the temps. I added lecithin ( 2 teaspoons) and one cup of coconut oil to a half oz of decarbed.

Decarbed at 230F ( where it actually is 240F) then did the infusion at 170F for 6 hours.

I’m trying it now.

hope it works for you. Should be just fine.

So I tried various suggestions with minimal or no improvement.

I went ahead and purchased another unit called “ vesicur yeap” 3-1 unit. Mainly because it has a mixer and can also be used to make gummies.

I ran a test with that unit and it scored much more appropriately to what it should have been.

1 oz of 12.3% THC flower in 1 cup of oil should yield roughly 14mg per ML with a lossless conversion I think. 80% conversion would be about 11.2 mg\ml.

With the ecru I am getting 6% MG/ML at best. With this other unit I am getting 9.2% following an identical run following that unit’s directions. I did test the ecru for temperature accuracy as well.

No matter what MG/ML I should be getting, I am getting roughly 34% more with this other unit that spins/agitates during decarb and infuse. It’s not perfect, but I doubt the bud is entirely through and through 12.3%. I didn’t really want to waste 5-10 tests to get an average, so that should be considered as well.

I haven’t made gummies with it yet, but it also does that with the same unit and comes with some molds. It was $15 more than the Ecru.

I ran the ecru 3 times, consistently getting the same type of results. I’ve only ran this other machine once, so there is a possibility of variable.

Overall though it seems this other unit is a better value and works better in terms of potency.

I am checking these percentages with a tcheck3, so there is also that to consider. Overall for “roundabout” figures though I’m happy to have something that works well enough.

Another side note, the oil from the ecru does come out darker for some reason.
