I’m starting to get close to my harvest and I’m starting to think about drying. I only have one tent but I can already tell that my plants will be done at different times. I know I can’t dry them in the same tent because the light will degrade the THC. I’m concerned about maintaining RH and temperature during the drying process and buying another tent for drying is out of the question.
Do any of you have any ideas that could help me out?
Ps my grow room is in the garage and wifey won’t let me dry them in the house.
Another tent with fan filter combo makes the most sense. Is it in the budget?
I’ve seen a few diy drying boxes made out of Rubbermaid container and pc fans. They used carbon filter sheets from air purifier in front of fan for odor cobtrol. And a phone charger for fan power supply. Guy claimed it worked well, just had to change the carbon sheet often. Probably find it or something similar with Google search.
Is temperature a problem? How warm is it where you are? You don’t need to dry in tents. Will your wife let you hang them in the open in the garage? They could be screened. Make sure fans are on regularly. Yeah, lights aren’t helpful, so don’t use 'em.
Okay I am sure there is something wrong with this but I laid mine out on a baby gate laid the whole thing accross my bathtub flipped the exhaust fan on and the lights off and used the other toilet. It actually worked better then when I hung it for drying but one side of the bud gets a little flatter .
@Ray4x it was actually not bad but it was a second floor extra bedroom grow room with its own bath . The toilet smelled but with the exhaust fan suckling air out the roof the rest of the house was fine . Oh and I did stick a towel under the door .
You could also put the stem vertically through the gate and put a clothes pin on it if you want it to actually hang… i have some old wire racks I use that way.
