The seeds were planted just under 3 weeks ago. Both are White Widow Autos
This one hasn’t been touched…
This one I’ve attempted to LST which I started a little over a week ago(I think?)
I’m a complete novice to growing, but I almost feel like the one I didn’t touch looks better as far as the number of bud sites, and the ease at which they are getting light. Compared to the previous planted I started to tie down which seems so bushy with the sugar leaves that the bud sites are all more hidden from the light.
Any thoughts?

Happy and healthy looking ladies. Topping or fimming will increase bud sites. Raising the light will help with the node spacing just make sure to adjust the intensity/DLI. If you’re going to stay with just LST you’ll be bending the main over in a few weeks. I prefer topping, this alllows me to spread the 2 new growth points on the main out and tied down to allow the lower branches to grow up and between each upper branches to create an even canopy so all bud sites get equal lighting

Thanks! I’m likely sticking with just LST in 2 of my 4 plants since this is my first rodeo growing cannabis. I’m sure some more experiments will come down the road. So you’ve had success topping autos? It seems to be a hot topic from what I’ve seen

100% success with topping Autos, can contribute some of that to luck but in my opinion you’re looking at at least 1-2 ounces more with a topping compared to regular LST🤟

Sounds like I need to do my research and try topping at least one of my planted next go round!

I have 3 training methods I use. A manifold, quadline and regular topping with great results. You have to be a little quicker with autos versus photos due to the flowering time of 28-36 days…generally 28-36 days sometimes sooner and sometimes later. Tag me when you’re ready to go that route. The 2 you have in the back on the pics would be perfect candidates

Thanks man, will do!! I almost feel like I should have waited until my front two got to the same size as the two in the back before starting LST. I’m sure I’ll learn a lot as I go
